you have an unchangeable opinion.. I won't drag that with you bro but deep inside you, you know what's right and what's wrong. there is nothing a 2 years old kid would gain under keke napep.. and change you begger to beggar
Sir.. It is good to know that you respect my thoughts and opinion.. But i still don't see the 'wrong' in the post. And thanks for noticing the error i made in the 'beggar'.. I did not even notice it.

The mechanic said, "when he comes back from school...".

So kid is getting formal and informal education.

But he should protect the child from health hazards. Otherwise, he is doing a great job.

At least better than one ancient tribe like that (can't remember the name) that train their children to be skull miners and skeleton uprooters.
Even better than one tribe that thousands of their sons had been hanged to death in other countries as a results of greediness, sudden wealth that led them to hard drug business, even killing themselves because of drugs in foreign land.

You can't address an issue without making sad tribal innuendos? One begins to question the origin of your problem. Could it be that you were born and not well brought up or you had a good upbringing but threw it away when you got to the city? Whichever it is, if you continue this way, Nigeria has an additional problem to contend with.
I wouldnt have called you biased if i have read your reply to all these tribalistic Afonjas all over nairaland but what do i know? Probably you are just one of the sentimental ones. Afonja ndi ngbu!

And because I don't jump on all thread fighting tribal warlords, I am biased? Friend, the freedom of expression leaves me with the choice to speak or be quiet. I can only address what I see. That you did not read my reply on ALL tribalistic thread doesn't mean I endorse it. Start from the ones you've seen too. I'm not here to fish for tribalists. Peace

"I want him to repair aeroplanes in future so he can rescue me from poverty". Very stupid statement to make. So it's by fiddling with a keke napep that he will learn out to repair aeroplanes right? You need to get him to love maths and physics not get his hands dirty under a keke. Besides it's your duty not your child's to take yourself out of poverty. African parents, mounting unnecessary pressure on their children since 1722
You must be a r3tard to utter that kind of statement.

I wonder what stoppyou d your dad from using a condom

That was an uninformed comment. The wilbur brothers who invented the aeroplane were bicycle technicians who were high school dropouts. Dont be fooled by fake nigerian book learning.

If you can't counter my point reasonably then shut the hell up. If you think it's by putting your toddler through unsafe manual labour is your ticket out of poverty, by all means do so. In fact, he must start at infancy.

A good number of you Nairalanders lack basic comprehension, it's not only disturbing it's irritating. How would you feel if your father insists you learn a skill at age two because it's your duty to take him out of poverty? A two year old has no business getting his hands dirty under a keke even if it's for the fun of it. Most of you probably don't know this because you were raised in dysfunctional homes

Still no correlation. According to you, someone that wants to repair planes doesn't need to go to school, all he needs to present is his experience at fixing keke and the job is his. What manner of reasoning is this? That some people have made it without higher education doesn't mean we should discourage others from going to school. That's outright wickedness

Your problem is the job seeking mentality, rather than the job creator mentality. Note that Formal schooling is not the only way of getting educated. Learning goes on in various ways. Those earth shakers who made it without higher education were also educated in other ways. They acquired special knowledge and skills which made them break new ground in their chosen fields.
