Morning gurus in the house, please I need a bank reference/introduction letter sample...the one thats gonna be attached with statement of account.
thanks a lot.

That’s the least thing to worry about because every bank has the format. Just tell them you need the letter and let them address it to the the Lagos Canadian embassy, I take it you are applying through the paper route.....

I hope this is not one of your jokes you are are cracking here? If you are serious then mighty congratulations to you. Please share your timeline.

Hello Bro, I was going to suggest if it was OK to order your case notes after my suspension is lifted. Will this not help give you an idea of what may be holding up your application? With the insight, you may be able to do something about what may be holding your file down.

My Medicals was done on the 27th after receiving medical instruction on the 23rd of August. Having been waiting since then, I began to considering ordering for case notes before my PPR arrived. Hopefully, you will get feedback before the case notes arrive but it may be worth the effort.

But most importantly that first year fund is crucial. Tuition and living cost. It's a new environment, but it's your determination that matters most.

At least not impossible.

Its a 50:50 chance or almost a 70:30(where 70 is the chances of refusal). as you have pointed out, they are more welcoming to younger aged for the level . You stand better chances in Ireland or UK

I beg to defer, he's chances are the same as that of Msc, PhD applicant's, infact degree students have more chances of Visa approval than any other shorter duration programs. So let him go on and apply fast, at 26 I believed he or she had gotten a kind of diploma certification. If only at 26 he/she has no post secondary qualification then your assertion maybe considered

You're not too old for a degree program but the big question is " do you have any form of diploma certification such HND, OND or ND? If yes then you're good to go but if NO then the VO may consider some other factors before making a decision

No one is a VO here, neither have i heard of anyone being a relative nor a neighbour to a VO........... all are speculations based on our assumptions..........all applications are not reviewed with the same judgements...........the VO looks beyond the course you applying for, level of education, age, etc personal circumstance is also a huge consideration the VO factors when reviewing application

Let the moniker prepare all documents and apply..................one of two must happen.............a delay or an approval..........if approved, good and praise God and move on..............if delayed..............order GCMS notes and move on.......

No one should be scared of failing...........we learn even while failing...........neither should we be too much in a hurry to get what we want when we want it.................

Hello Nairalanders,

Please am new here. I have been offered admission at Cambrooks College, but as the school doesn't have hostel facilities, my question is that can I rent hostel accommodation off campus?

Also, how many month accommodation payment/booking does the embassy require in the application?

Please your response is highly appreciated.

. Have got a degree in accounting Education, am just being skeptical. Two of my guys studying in Canada told me if i try to use MSc...that my chances of getting visa is slim. They said using a bachelor degree is best and even though they can still refuse my visa, but chances of getting it is higher than when you going for masters. That the more reason I need advice ooo. Thinking about it personally I know it could be detrimental if I use first degree. What to do oo, should i just go for masters.

Bro for someone whose application is just a month old can I order for my case notes. Honestly, I just need the CiC to expedite action on my application. Up till now my application is still at background check. Don't think I'm being greedy I just hate waiting unnecessary.

Good idea. I already ordered gcms notes a few montbs ago. I will do so again perhaps there are new updates recently. Thanks bro. Mighty Congrats! How were you able to get the school to keep your admission for 7 years? How did you get the patience and motivation to endure for 7years not studying and getting a degree in Nigeria, but trying and trying to Canada? You really would have gone far in Nigeria! This is really superhuman and almost crazy to me. But I guess you knew what you wanted. Congrats and my prayer is you will bring that determination to bear on your studies to recoup all that the canker worm ate all these years. Go in peace and make us proud!

Mr/Mrs please kindly be advice that you should not waste money for a rent until you have got your stamped passport at hand.
Firstly, you don't need a payment of accommodation in advance to apply for a study Visa, its not part of the requirements to pay your rent when you have not apply for study permit or when your study permit has not been approve, so doing is tantamount to waste of money. What you should do now is go package your documents and apply for study permit first and then wait for VO decision.

Secondly, if your Visa is approved then you can now make arrangement for accommodation few weeks before landing, when that time comes just post it here on the forum that you need accommodation and many fellows in this forum who live in that city will help you secure accommodation.

Finally, I think all higher institution in Canada allow students to live off campus (I stand to be corrected) so that's not a big deal. Focus on applying for study permit and pray for God mercy and favor

Yes! Its true that degree applicant's are more favor in getting TRV due to the study duration, however, having obtained Bsc already in home country may raises some eyeball but that shouldn't deter you from applying. Try construct a good SOP emphasize the fact that accounting education wasn't your career part but rather pure Accounting, try explain how your former institution force you into education, that you have stood up to take your future in your hands now, and how your previous knowledge and study experience will help you excel in your chosen career. Just look for more good reason for second bachelor degree and have at least five bullet points to buttress your reasons.

Getting a master's degree offer in Canada if you're not a 2:1 holder may pose a bit difficulty for you, so degree will be best for you because you will be given 2yrs of study while HND holder are normally given 3yrs of study. Move on with your plans and pray for Gods favor

Thank you. By CSE you mean?

CSE- Case Specific Enquiry, a means of initiating communication with the visa office, letting them know that your application has exceeded the normal processing times and as well sending an additional information/documents, which you think can boast your chances of approval.

Please HOUSE do not discourage anyone going for studies cus of age. How old dem Canadian prime minister be sef 40 something abi? Isn't it. I don't believe the age factor clause atall, there are other extraneous factors in some applications that makes it seem like the age thing is a major downside. Do not generalize cus of what you think, he say, she say. Habaaa school isn't a must now, just a needed edge in life. What if you are a technical genius and now you think a university education is vital for your new projections. You ve only got to prove yourself, your intentions, ability to do well, finance and more. And IF you have been idle is what these westerners don't like, be it internship, volunteering, or apprenticeship they like it. My bro and sisters you are welcome to pool your case. In EE, don't they recognize diplomas or apprenticeship Yes they do. If we look at the criterions by which VOs judge who is deemed fit to enter their country, that's an endless mission for us. Even if you are close acquaintance to one, they won't still tell you the real deal. That's why you see someone with a seemingly good profile still get refusals time after time and someone with an application riddled with mistakes gets an approval so please don't discourage anyone. Anybody can become anything, it's whatever we choose to be and whichever we set our mind to be. If you are 50years old and you want to apply to a Bsc program in Canada please do, JUST PROVE YOURSELF. Do all aforementioned on this thread, package tight and you will get it, na determination and perseverance ohh, or go ask @galala123.

While I was at the Uni a 55years old man was determine to bagged an LLB from law department, old man came out in flying colors oh, while we small boys with fresh brains were there struggling.

Calculate the correlation between age and visa approval. If you contest this, either positive, negative, partial or linear and let me know.

Definitely you going to find an apartment outside, in the meantime you need to focus on your VISA first, while enroute your Canadian dream school admission is like 30% of the journey, the remaining 70% is for your visa. I never knew that myself, I initially thought in 2months I'm in Canada after getting my admission but now it's almost a year and I'm still here, despite no denial, bt still waiting on the lord to pick my call. Hopefully. So act fast read the thread very carefully from the beginning then ask questions. The questions above are about the last set of questions that those who have gotten a study visa do ask, and that's when those over there in Canada already schooling can answer or be of help.

Visa is the first thing you NEED.
