See the result for some of the 20 LGAs in Lagos below in 2015 governorship election:

The results of the Lagos governorship elections as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, reveal that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Akinwunmi Ambode has won the election beating the PDP candidate Jimi Agbaje by a margin of over 100,000 votes.

This was when Tinubu was somewhat popular. Now imagine what will happen now that people are tired of Tinubu's influence. Jimi will win hands down. 2015 election results shocked me; couldn't believe he come that close, PDP didn't even believe their eyes!

Fashola won second term because of his performance.
Fashola won in 2007 because Funso William was dead.
Tinubu won second term because his fight with obasanjo.
Tinubu won first because AD effect
And in 2019 sanwo olu will win because pdp has no money to spend. tinubu will spend last Kobo to ensure his candidates win lagos and other sw states. It is about 2023 presidency, if you know you know.

Do you think Epe will vote APC now that their illustrous son has been forcefully removed? Do you forget the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos? Do not forget that practically all major tribes in Nigeria have their people in Lagos and this includes supporters of APC, PDP and other opposition parties? From the Osun experience you will find that other parties like SDP, ADP and ADC have risen and they have their candidates in Lagos. It translates to the fact that plenty of the votes of APC and PDP will go to the other parties. It will not be easy anymore like before. For me I think the best person who should move Lagos to the next level should win irrespective of the political party.

I wouldn't understand why anybody will just decide to waste his time and money on a lost agenda. We all know Sanwoolu is next Lagos state's Governor even if it's just 10 votes.

Do u know that Lagos APC now has over 1m registered members?

The best time for Jimi to win was 2015 when he had federal might but the APC structure has always been too strong.

Besides, Most Yorubas prefer APC to PDP. Even before the APC, they have always aligned with ACN.
Don't let Osun deceive u o, PDP also rigged just that the biggest riggers won.

Let's not talk again, next year will be clear in the eyes of everyone.

BTW, both the PDP and APC members are the problems of this nation.

I heard a radio chat where someone was analyzing why Agbaje cannot win, simply because he went on sabbatical, completely AWOL after 2015 elections, instead of spearheading the attack on the ruling government.
If he had been criticizing Ambode's action, he'd have won many electorates over.

Its better for an election to be inconclusively concluded than than for it to be concluded inconclusive by a court of law

If the author of this write up was opportune to have information on how Jonathan made dollars flow bcoz of pdp wanted to take over Lagos, he wouldn't be saying this. State house ikoyi was busy all through the 2015 gubernatorial election. Gani Adams the opc leaders was given pipeline surveillance contract just for pdp to win Lagos, Afenifere was given huge amount? T of dollars to support JK. The opc members were destroying apc posters just to scare people away on election day.
JK may not have up to the figures he gathered in 2015 general election
