It's bad enough not to even pull over when they drive past you, but overtaking any car with a military personnel is disrespectful, rebellious and tantamount to mutiny.

I drive past USA military formation convoys on the road everytime. Sometimes they even wave as you overtake. They never harass anyone. And people love them. You give preference, discounts, freebies, good seats and respect to veterans.

The only time you don't overtake here is a hearse convoy out of your respect the dead.

Now the Nigerian soldier loves to break the law, beat up police men, burn police stations, harass civilians, enforce civil disputes between neighbour and wonder why no one feels too much pity when their officers f*uck each other's wives when they go to war, not taken as a priority when their pension is delayed, say nothing about internal corruption and don't mourn for long when they get killed by boko haram.

Those are not soldiers but mopol on CBN cash movement excort duty, such escorts are high security risk n they don't normally allow vehicles trailing them too closely much less of insisting on overtaking them,perhaps the victim was ignorant, in as much as this is painful,we should try to understand the perspective of the mopol going by happenings in the country.

Say what??....I remember overtaking the police and hell wasn't let loose.If they have the siren on....We clear the road for them but if they just driving heading to wherever...then,they are regular road users that can be overtaken.
