Joebie:They both have zero senior caps so what edge are u implying? So u are saying Afeez Aremu and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi also have an edge because they trained with the team before their WCQ matches? You are just searching.. |

We are talking early meaningful invites here to the deserving, regardless of where they are based. So why is it your problem that they happen to carry 2 passports? BascoVanVeli: |

Left to me,I'm not too worried about Eze's call up by the England.. Since he already admitted that he is willing to play for us,we can still get him..Playing for the England youth team doesn't mean otherwise... Iwobi,Aina and Moses all played for the England youth team too.. Though Rohr messed up big time by not calling him up so we could cap him quick! |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:28pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
We need to invite him so we don’t have to worry about paperwork in future. Danielnino00: |

Joebie:Did Henry and Kalu get early meaningful invites? If a player is not capped then his invite is not meaningful to our conversation because England U20 would still invite him. |

Joebie:Yea.. that's what I mean in my last paragraph.. But we can't entirely blame Rohr for that . For one thing,we don't.know if he has full control regarding players call up... I remember reading somewhere that the.NFF technical committee will b assessing his list before it's released.. That was after the South Africa game.. Maybe the NFF want to play it cool now to avoid another Tammy saga... Rohr has called up some foreign born players since he took over,so I don't think he has something against calling up Eze,Billing and the likes.... |

Danielnino00:I understand Spurs are monitoring him.. If he gets a big move by next season, He will be in the limelight and we will not have a voice then. We did not even need to do any paper work for him. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 7:39pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
Danielnino00:There was no danger of Tammy saga with Eze because he was not tied to anyone. All we needed to do was invite him. Getting him to switch is what can cause a Tammy saga. |

invites is meaningful for players who have other options. It is a bold statement that we have them in our plans. We are not spoilt for options at AM. Eze is a special case. The opposite is the case for Henry and Kalu who are wingers. BascoVanVeli: |

Coaches like gernot don’t last too long these generation anymore, good records so far but way too conservative and emotionally attached with certain players. But keep in mind a possibility where eze comes to camp and dosent perform, not becoz he’s not good enough but because he not yet there mentally the weight and pressure can be too much, few players get to fully express themselves on the pitch and fit in seamlessly into a n national team like Iwobi, Iheanacho or uzoho because there are different factors in play like background, orientation, ambition and motives. guys like Joel obi, aina, idowu are better than the performances they have given To the team so what’s the setback for them? If you are not ready mentally then you are not ready atall. football is 30%talent and 70% mental that’s why Cahill is Chelsea captain, few can match his mental strength. There are players who played in the top 5 league who never raise thier game to those standard for Nigeria and reverse is the situation in some casese.g musa, ogu, elderson. Club football has been a very useful benchmark over the years to know if a player is ready for national team football but what they don’t really explain is that it’s way more mental now. Is it not semi ajayi of rotthadam that played so well against Seychelles, Ekong was very solid for us since when he was at on loan to Norway from genk, balogun of Germany 2nd tier was a beast, the ighalo that scored 18epl goals is now the nemesis of the team, elderson was a Monaco player while he was playing bull for us. Most players usually go through pain to build thier mental strength, if it’s Nigeria’s snub that would make ebere steely then so be it, but the boy looks like ours. The championship just started maybe gernot wants to see him in more games. He’s committed to us so I’m not scared except England gives him a senior call up. |

The same technical committee that criticised Rohr for not taking Agbo to the WC.They also said they were not contacted b4 the release of the final 23-man list for WC. Rohr works with his assistants and listens to them. Some say Rohr is conservative but in the match against Iceland he started Musa for the first time with Iheanacho. |

Osimhen could get a call up on the back of this no doubt. He would have made it to the WC with this performance under Rohr EEGA: |
