Super Eagles Target Eberechi Eze Reacts To Maiden England U20 Call-Up
Published: October 05, 2018

Queens Park Rangers young star Eberechi Eze has spoken of his happiness after receiving his maiden call-up to England U20 side.

The former Arsenal youth-teamer had been invited to train with the Super Eagles at their get-together in London last year but has been overlooked for selection by manager Gernot Rohr in the last eighteen months.

The English Football Association have moved fast to cap Eze following his imperious displays for Queens Park Rangers this season.

''You want to be called up for international football and it is a great honour to have been. It’s a really good milestone for me,'' says Eze to www.qpr.co.uk.

''I found out on Thursday night. I got a bit of an inkling from the Doctor as the FA had spoken to him and I’m really excited.

''It will be a good experience, I’ve never been involved before so I am looking forward to seeing what it is like.''

Eze is among fifteen players of Nigerian descent called up to England's youth teams for international fixtures in October but the attacking midfielder is the only player on the books of second

I don’t think Danjuma would have honored a call up though.

forgiveness:
By not inviting him of course.

What breeze? Breeze by abeg. So because I don't want the player to have an unfair advantage I am against them? Get real dude. If people can bash Tammy who never declared anything then I don't even want to hear a word about Ebere that actually as an adult said he will play for us. I care more about Aluko who has been overlooked for ages while ballin in the same league

lol komekn don start

But stop saying he his not good enough for league one okay
Should I say the conference then or non league.

You must know that the Ebere Eze that everyone is raving about started playing in league two for Wycombe Wanderers. That's when he got into the limelight with stand out performances. Before QPR pushed him into the first team in the Championship.

Should I inform you that the current striker of Hearts Midlothian fc which is top of the Scottish premier league. Is a Nigerian by the name of Uche Ikpeazu. He came from league two and he is a regular.

The current top goal scorer in league one is 19 year old, Josh Maja don't be suprised to see him in the Championship or EPL come the January transfer window.

Or I could talk about Chuks Aneke the most outstanding player in league two and he is supposed to be a midfielder but he is scoring for fun at MK Dons.

If Sadiq can't cut it in the Scottish league it's simply because he is not good enough. Gerard is a young forward thinking manager with great ambition who will give young players a chance if they are good enough.

I would say that Sadiq is not on the same level as the players mentioned above and they are playing in what you will call low level teams in low level league.

But the measurement of quality is yes the league and quality of club you are in. But the next thing is are you outstanding in your club and league. Or are you anonymous in your high level club and league.

In this regard the Nigerian origin players mentioned above are on the ascendancy and stand out players. They are not youth players or B team players but stand out players in thier Leagues and club.

So in comparison to the players mentioned above and seeing his past performances he is not going to be good enough for league one is not bias but a balance look at him.

Or I could compare him to Elijah Adebayo at Swindon and I can't clearly say that he is better than him.

exactly, he should leave for a mid table belgian team or in the portueguese league where he will get more playing time

If Kelechi Nwakali wants to take his career serious and to the next level he should just terminate his loan deal with FC Porto B and find a mid-table club in the Belgium Pro League. See his mate Victor Osimhen gradually regaining form and confidence in that league.

When u guys say "we don't have a natural AM" or " We don't have a single AM" it begs me to ask the question "what is Iwobi"?
oga icons4 rohr does not recognize iwobi as an AM.
the earlier you know that...the better.
rohr is fast killing out talent bank....
I have begin to think....this man is just there to sabotage our football development.
we need a reasonable coach...the next player we gonna loose now will be Deji...Mark my words.
even if you can't give these guys call up...can't he recommend them to the cadet team coaches like agbiogun and the likes....

To achieve that, we need to get Rohr off the way first. See the nonsense he is doing with Eze now and u think he will invite Ejaria. The man doesnt even know where the problem of his team lies and what personels needed to solve the problems. We dont have a single AM, no good CM, bar Mikel, yet he is packing the whole DMs out there over looking the CMs and AMs. Like they say, man is truly a white Onigbinde
I know you will find this a hard and bitter pill to swallow but have an open mind.

Look at Chuks Aneke in the very lowly league two he is supposed to be a midfielder but is the outstanding stand out player for club and in that league.

Have you thought about Josh Maja too goal scorer league 1,huh

The NFF should get them attached before they blow up and it becomes problematic. I really don't know what they are doing with Ebere Eze as well.

i never supported the arsenal move from day one. does it make sense joining an epl team when you are not qualified enough to play in the league? ajax would have done the lad's career more good than joining arsenal. i even foresee arsenal off loading him after his loan spell in porto B

i don't really think rohr have taken note of the performance of ejaria, eze and billing because if he has the duo of ejaria and billing would have been sounded out about the possibility of playing for nigeria while eze would have atleast gotten an invite to train with the team after the world cup. we lack quality in the midfield and ignoring this lads with nigerian parentage who are doing incredibly well for their various clubs baffles me.

i strongly believe ejaria and eze are ours but that of billing gives be sleepless nights. now is the best time to lure this kids if not another stellar season in a midtable epl team next season will make denmark, scotland and england to take notice of this super talents and it may be tough to get them by then. rohr and the nff needs to act fast. the seychelles match would have been a perfect match to give ebere eze his debut even if it means bringing him on for the last 5 minutes of the match
I know well Wella Ovie will play for Nigeria.

But our NFF are playing the usual games.

Funny though I actually rate Tega Onomah higher than Ovie.

It’s not too late for Rohr to hand Eze a call up
I remember there was a certain young player invited by both Germany and England if I’m. Not mistaken. Let the player make a choice.

You cannot tell me that Ebere Eze is substantially better than any one who was invited. The keyword being "substantially better". Hence, for most people on here to be wailing about his non-invite as if Rohr has committed an abominable act to me is nothing more than the rantings of idle minds. No offence shocked

I was one of the first person here to call for Ebere Eze's consideration, but I will not lose sleep over his non-invite because the players invited merit their invite.

O pari
He plays in a position we are lacking options. Funny how not too long ago we were talking about how this team doesn't function properly without Mikel, yet instead of testing out options, Rohr is still stockpiling CMs

My brother Danjuma is good no doubt. But we’ve always had players scoring in Belgium. I don’t think we stood a chance. Added to that he made it clear it would be a hard decision to make if he were called up by us.

Hugely on point. Our cadet players should stop signing for English clubs that send them on loan. But i also think that sending them on loan MOSTLY because of low productivity....Iheanacho was sold outrightly...i know i used Nacho..Mikel had played in Sweden or Norway before going to England...No Nigeria has moved from Nigeria league or academy STRAIGHT to first team of a premiership club except him...Evidently Belgium is far better for young Nigerian players than any other league in the world. Yes. Check out the history From Keshi...Amokachi...Etim Esim..Cele Babayaro.....Onyekuru,Kalu...etc
The question you should ask is why ❓

It's not easy for a player to leave Nigeria and compete with boys who have been in an EPL academy since they were 6 years old.

Instead of encouraging keeper performances, we are carrying Ezenwa and Akpeyi as hand bags. Keepers like Afelokhai, Osigwe, even Maduka could have been invited. After all, It is unlikely that Ezenwa and Akpeyi will get a game.
