So I Visited Gazzuzz's Workshop... by Piyke(op): 8:31am On Oct 06, 2018
So it all started with the 2 posts below from the Kamaru saga;

Piyke:
Gazzuzz you did not feature me in this movie cry cry cry even as apprentice to Kamaru... embarassed embarassed
How will u pacify me seeing that the play has ended? angry

A visit to the shop during my Lagos runs next week will suffice cheesy
GAZZUZZ:
When you ready I'll come get you at the airport grin
Truth was the visit didn't happen during that particular trip; our schedules couldn't align due to some unforeseen stuff!

But, finally, this week, it happened! Was in Lagos and everything was like clockwork. Details coming...
Re: So I Visited Gazzuzz's Workshop... by Piyke(op): 8:55am On Oct 06, 2018
Truth is I gave Oga very short notice. I had forgotten I was Lagos bound and actually called him on my way to the airport! Graciously, he obliged my request. Game on!

Got to the workshop at about 2pm and met the man. All work bays were occupied with some vehicles outside. Gazz was fixing one part that I had never seen; just under the steering wheel airbag. Abeg Gazzuzz what's the name again?

I was impressed by his attention to detail. Had an eye on what the boys were doing on the other vehicles. There are some things I may not be able to highlight here, but I saw this as quality control which many businesses lack. I remember how one Kia dealership duped me and in the end blamed it on one techie who was swapping genuine parts for cheap Chinese knockoffs. Don't know whether it was Kia or the acclaimed Techie. Fact is I was shortchanged at a Kia dealership.

We talked cars (including how I thought Nissan was evil by securing the cabin air cleaner element cover with a difficult-to-access bolt on the 2005 Nissan Titan angry angry angry), AC work and all. I got a lecture on that steering part I referred to above.
We discussed career as well. But most important discussion for me was the tools...
Re: So I Visited Gazzuzz's Workshop... by Piyke(op): 9:42am On Oct 06, 2018
We talked impact wrenches. I was still talking about a 400Nm Ryobi I plan to buy when Gazz pulled the 950Nm Dewalt (brushless) that he just got shocked
Gazzuzz are you sure you don't want to sow that stuff to DIYAutoWorksNG Piyke? cheesy

Also gave me a tour of the shop.

Finally, he paid for my Uber home!

Gazzuzz I'll like to say a very big thank you. More power to your elbow and may your business expand the more.
You really came across as humble and committed. Well-done.
I hope you don't mind if I do some Oliver Twist in the future angry. Was like a kid in a candy store! smiley

Clock spring aka Horn control in ladipo. It was installed in a 2008 hyundai santafe to fix the airbag warning light.
