He is not a disgrace, he is a confirmation that a technocrat and career civil servant who rode on the political structures of Tinubu to become a Governor from nowhere, can also be easily returned to nowhere when he loses the support of the structures that made him.

He eventually competed in a direct and fair primary and lost in a democratic fashion, as his own party members lost faith in him such that even Tinubu had to kowtow to their demands.

That is democracy. A democracy that will always have party bigwigs and associated supporters who will follow the decision of their bigwigs.

Like the Kennedy supporters or Clinton supporters of the Democratic Party, or the Tea Party supporters of the Republican Party.
