So Ambode will be history. Life is tough tho !Alternatively, Tinubu will be demystified!! Then the great descent will start for him!! Another probable result .Ambode may not win this fight. His chances very slim. He is surely not going down without a fight. He gave sign of what is to come by rubbishing the integrity of his challenger yesterday. Tinubu comes next ..I am salivating at the prospect of the contest!!!! Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words, Pride in our souls. We salute our Nation on this memorable day. Happy Independence Day! saint2ace:Boss, I've been doing that oo. The guy that I sealed a deal with (same person I bought charge controller from some time ago) said his price is 40k for the 100ah and it's even Croc. The price and brand is not even my problem but he doesn't have any in stock. Others that I've spoken with are calling exorbitant prices (70- 120k) it's so annoying how Nigerians easily want to cheat people in the name of making gain. |

Good Day honourable members of this thread, Please,I would like to solicit for your advice,I am confuse on what to do. My major challenge is that I have a DC pumping machine with 60 watt power,12V 100 amps battery and a charger. I don't know if I can combine the three together?Or I have to charge the battery seperately before connecting to the pumping machine? |
| Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(op): 4:05pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
do u know why I prefer buy lesser ah batteries and connecting in pararell? if for instance u have a 100ah battery 2 and u connect in pararell which gives u 200ah and u have a solar panel of 200ah and above and at same time NEPA carry ur transfomer go for a month , just remove one battery to ur inverter and use only a 100ah on ur 200w solar. panel, raining season don end , a 200w solar panel will charge ur 100ah battery effectively and u will stl ill enjoy power, u can be charge battery A today and use and charge battery B in the next 3day with the solar and use so that one battery no go just dey idle, I did it when my transformer was carried away for a month or two and I enjoyed power, but u have to reduce ur usage time, but if u don't have solar but generator, u can stl charge ur battery and when it full , u can turn off ur gen to save fuel and enjoy ur inverter |

koxyz:u can combine the three together , hope u pumping machine has an ON and OFF switch ? u can pump while its charging and if u don't need to pump ,put off the pumping machine from the switch and if it doesn't have s switch, buy a switch and look for electrician to help u connect it although its easy to connect, just get any cheap on/off switch at any electrical shop |

odimbannamdi:Am sorry bro for your issues. Without taking a look at what the issue might be, I can't really tell what might have caused that. You might be the issue OR the Seller. One thing you have got to realize (judging by how you described your kind of person) is never to trust anyone irrespective of their position, role, religion, tribe, age, etc. Am also the kind of person who prefers quality to price. I have lots of experience with regards to solar systems and others Though I must add am not a seller BUT an active High end user. If you're around Lagos, I might be of help though. One thing to success in using solar and/or inverter systems is Battery, Battery, and Battery. Charge controller / Charger Matter also. The rest can easily be taken care of. Be weary of those who Form being religious or speak more than they can verify. Also warranty in Nigeria is very tricky. NB: never trust a seller no matter what. Also, be careful of anyone in here (including me) who would come preaching one absolute solution or the other. You just might end up in a hotter soup that you were earlier. Once again, This Is Nigeria |

kiekie1:Under normal circumstances, if the Seller sold both the Charger and Battery, then He's responsible for whatever that happens. The Guy said smart charger - Guess the seller has used that Grammar to collect much money than near necessary. A truly smart charger would also act as a balancer, also know when it's over charging or undercharging and take necessary actions. And I also know there are lots of near dump chargers being labeled and marketed as Smart. |

ceejay80s:Get a 3-way switch for this and your life would be much easier while safe guarding the equipments as it's possible to make a mistake (you or someone else) and charge with the others still ON. Think of all the times you guys have switched ON the generator while the Fridge or AC was left ON. A 3 was switch is just like a Change Over but it's just a switch. Left is ON (for another appliance such as Charging) Middle is OFF Right is ON (for another appliance such as Pumping machine) Hope that helps |

kio052001:It's always good to combine batteries of Similar conditions. If the current battery isn't so strong, better not combine it with a new one else you risk damaging or degrading the new battery. But if they are both new or very similar (including health wise), you can always combine it. Also ensure they are of same or very close Ratings (E.g Voltage, Amperage, etc). |

ceejay80s:Hello Ceejay I first want to commend you on this amazing knowledgeable thread, amazing collection of information you git here! I also have a question I think you can help me with. I recently purchased a 24v 220v 3000w pure sine wave Inverter from China. I'd please like to know in your opinion what batteries would be best suited for this and how many? |
| Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(op): 11:37am On Oct 07, 2018 |
bucci81:u only need 100ah battery×2 or 200ah×2 or 75ah×2 batteries depending on ur load and both must be connected in series to the inverter. when it comes to battery its a one mans food and another mans poison, the guy who bought GBM battery and complaining about it, I am using GBM batteries now and I buy GBM for those I install for, there are so many other good batteries out there, like I said before, u no fit know food wey sweet until u test am, I can't use the whole brand name batteries in the whole world, how much I get? even the most expensive battery can disappoint u in a month or two or later |

This is got to be the most annoying thing that has happened to me in a long while! Some days ago I made enquiries here on which brand of 100ah battery to buy and I got awesome replies but unfortunately, I couldn't find those brands in Abuja and in rare cases when I did I was given outrageous prices like 60-80k. I spoke to about 5 dealers on phone and spent over 3k on transportation visiting some seller shops before I finally found the one I bought for 40k. The name is Middle Star. Pics are attached! Prior to buying the battery, I bought a 650VA UPS. The battery in the UPS was fairly good and on a good sunny day it can give my laptop 100% by using and discharging the UPS battery at intervals! That is if I on the UPS it maybe will give the laptop 15% then it'll beep and switch off and I'll again on it after 30mins and it'll add another 15% that was how I was managing life. What do I use in charging the battery? I bought a 150watt solar panel and a 30a PMW charge controller I have been using the solar panel and the charge controller and the UPS with its battery for about 4 months! When I bought the Middle Star 100ah battery a couple of days ago I thought my worries were gone and I could now charge my laptop to 100% in one instance. But was that the case? The Dilemma I hooked up my setup and allowed it to charge till evening then plugged my laptop. Lo and behold it did not take 3 minutes for the UPS to start beeping indicating that the battery is low! This is a battery that showed a full bar on the charge controller before I plugged the laptop ooo. Yesterday I decided to experiment again. I allowed it to charge till evening and I switched on the UPS. The only load I used was a 15watt bulb and two phones. It lasted from 7 pm till 5 am when I switched it off. Note! The UPS started beeping from around 8 pm till this morning. It's almost 2 pm and I just plugged my laptop and again the UPS didn't last 5 mins before beeping and switching off. My laptop charger is rated 65watt. What could be the problem here? My intention of having this setup is to have my laptop on for at least 15hours daily and my 15watt bulb for 5 hours! My friend who has MTN LUMOS enjoys that much time on his laptop and bulb. If you can remember I made enquiries here whether to build a setup or go for MTN lumos and most of you said Setup which is reasonable considering the long term cost of MTN lumos. But Now My setup of; 150watt solar panel 100ah battery 30a charge controller 650va ups IS USELESS if I can't power my laptop for 15 hours daily. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
