It depends on your previous phone. For someone using note 5, there's not much difference. Even most people using note did not upgrade to note 5. But for those who care about android version , note 6 will get pie. But it's better to wait for a second variant of note 6
thanks for the clarification. smiley

skip the flash part use boot instead. It will be fastboot boot recovery.img if it boots, flash twrp as zip or image from twrp install menu
Please how will I do that please, thanks for your time.

I only know the one to install twrp using command. I have not learnt the others.
Thanks for the link. Will check it out.
Update: checked the link, that's exactly what I did. But not insatlling the image. I changed the name to record.img , same thing. Saying something like error, can't install image. So that's where I was stocked and started looking for what might have caused it, until I saw many videos , saying OEM has to be unlocked , even though the bootloader is unlocked.

Are you sure the image file is not corrupted? Download with pc and try again

I will do it again and give you feedback bro. The bootloader came unlocked , and I have been getting updates too and install without issues. But it is strange that OEM grey out, and I needed it to install twrp and root, but it never happened upon multiple trial. I read somewhere that alternative way to do that is to relock, enable OEM, then unlock again Which I don't know to do again because I don't want it bricked. I just don't know what to do. But I know there is a solution.
Can fake ROM get updates?
Thanks.
my RN5 came with unlocked bootloader and it's same as yours...flashed recovery without any problems. Use this command fastboot boot recovery.img that's after you've copied recovery.img to adb folder...it will then boot to recovery.

So that we are on the same page, you are of the opinion that xiaomi phones bought from Jumia are net of tax (VAT) , i.e we don't pay taxes on these phones as final consumers.

It's quite simple, any agent who is selling Xiaomi phones through Jumia, would have shipped the phone from overseas; definitely custom duties would have been paid. If you are opportuned to see a customs invoice, VAT is usually applicable.

Custom fees + every other cost incurred in getting the phone(s) down to Nigeria is factored into the price. So tell me how then are you not paying taxes(VAT)? Because your payment invoice/receipt doesn't show the tax element, doesn't translate to not paying tax.

By my next set of sales, all phones bought from me will come with a new token as Freebies and mark of appreciation for your purchase.

Hello i need help in deciding between:
1 Poco F1
2 One plus 6
3 Samsung s8

based on price, performance and battery life as well as device support (software wise)

A good and clear cut one just like the one fibronacci gave some days back would be great.

S8 is great due to the design and that 2K display on a SAMOLED( personally feel no smartphone display looks as good as that found on Samsung flagships) Samsung experience is not everyone's cup of tea but it isn't too bad.($500)

OnePlus 6 for the software cos OxygenOs is very good as it is the closest thing to stock Android with a lot of customisations and it runs buttery smooth, dash(warp) charge is one of the fastest charging technology, guaranteed 2yrs of OS updates and 3 years of security patches(what's not to like?) ($470)

Pocophone for the price and the feature it packs, it will be hard for any other smartphone in 2018 to beat it. This thing flies and battery life is expectedly good. Nailed on that this device will get plenty custom support as over 8 roms are available already ($300)

The choice is yours.

I would advise you replace the op6 with the 6t, as the 6t would be released this month and it's an improvement on the op6.
