The battle will be very sweet and the victory will be even sweeter.

Head or tail, SW wins this one for PMB.

Should Atiku pick his VP from SE, it's a straight battle between SW and SE/SS.

Should he pick his VP from SW, the SE/SS will feel shortchanged and Buhari will even have it easier.

Note: Atiku will not see the tail of PMB in the presidential election in the North. It will be something in the ratio of 3:1 for PMB.
SW is already for Tinubu and Osibanjo. Getting a VP from that region would be a waste of time. Atiku's best shot would be consolidating on SE/SS by getting a technocrat from that region that would appeal to college educated....best if it's a female.

SW non-college educated & touts should be left for APC.

In 2019 It is not going to be an eaglet versus an eagle but an eagle versus eagle: an old eagle versus new eagle and probably both of them old eagles

Atiku is not the Messiah we need but I think he is a better option than Buhari

If you understood how politics is played, you wouldn't have made that statement. The opposition can no longer be loyal to an individual but loyal to a cause; the repatriation of Gen. Buhari back to Daura

PS. And shaking hands with Saraki does not equate "siding" him for President
It was everywhere that Saraki chose him as his VP, even dele Momodu reporter it and neither parties denied it. What I see is anywhere belle face

Atiku be warned, when ipob starts supporting you, your failure is assured.

If in doubt, ask GEJ, Jimi Agbaje, Fayose, Adeleke and most recently Saraki.

Ipob miscreants are politically naive. They always pick a loser.

[s]Most of the political pundits online seem to tie the fate of the SS and SE together without realising the diversity of political views and ethnic interests in the SS. The SE is one but the SS is a group of more than 30 disparate people. To bring them as one, Atiku needs to give us a rallying point and that rallying point has to be a VP slot.

The swing region is the SS. The SE has no choice but to vote Atiku. The SW may not vote for Atiku regardless of who his VP is but the SS can give Atiku a bloc vote of 8m if he plays his cards right. He has to get a VP from the SS. SE is already certain for him. SW will be difficult for him even with a VP slot but a SS VP slot will consolidate his message of restructuring and true federalism. It will fetch him votes from states that may otherwise be divided and it will also curry him the favour of SEners that may not want a SWner as VP as well as SWners that many not want a SEner as VP. Its a win-win.

All he needs to do is to get someone with widespread influence in the SS. Then he can promise the SW the position of SFG or SP[/s].
The PDP Chairman is already from the South-South!

If you expect Atiku to pick his vice from the South-South, then you should expect him to pick his vice from north!

Talking of voters, Southeast has more voters outside Southeast more than in Southeast region!

And if you think Southeast will automatically vote PDP if PDP disrespect them, then you must be high on codein!!

Lastly, the Southeast is a very loyal region who supported South-South and Niger Delta Son (Goodluck Jonathan) through thick and thin! So it will be tantamout to betrayal if South-South start jostling the position of VP with Southeast!!

Atikus vp is key to his winning. Osinbajo made buhari marketable beyond core north and to Christians. If not buhari wouldn’t have gone anywhere bt now he thinks he’s James Bond who has been denied winning all his past elections.

Nwanne calm down. Obi has always been an Atiku guy. It is all for good if we produce the VP via Obi. We should not run our own down due to political divide.

That might be what will cost him the elections.

The average Nigerian man will quietly choose an ethnic bigot over a detribalised Nigerian as we saw in 2015.

edunwablog:
Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has declared that the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was a good sign for the country ahead of the 2019 general election.

He said this in a statement he released to the media Sunday night.

Obi emphasised that what the PDP delegates did in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital. was “a mirror of what Nigerians want next year -free and transparent election”.

Obi noted that although all the aspirants were qualified, the victory of Atiku showed that he was widely accepted.

He commended other contestants for putting up brave contest and conducting themselves in a way befitting true leaders.

Lamenting that Nigeria had derailed off the paths of development, Obi said that going by “Atiku’s wealth of experience, track record of wealth-creation, knack for identifying excellence among excellent people, detribalised nature and perfect understanding of the ills of the country”, the former VP had all it takes to restore the nation’s glory.

“Having personally followed him in the past six months, listened and interacted with him on a number of issues negatively affecting our society, I observe in him a person who has the burning desire to leave a footprint in the sands of time”, the statement added.

U are a good analyst by my judgment.

Even though I would prefer vp from the west, a SS vp would be the best. If only pdp know that. SW and SE will have no problem with SS vp.

This boy has been wailing and dropping useless permutations since yesterday.

The average SWesterner wants Buhari out. Even notherners want him out. Suffer no know party or presidential support team oo.

You are here also saying if atiku picks a VP from the SE, the SS would vote for Buhari? You're living in a fools paradise! The current disenchantment against buhari would have an average SS man vote anything but buhari. What we are concerned about is voter apathy which could make voter turn out low. Either ways, your tin god is a goner!

This no be 2015 elections oo! The dynamics have have changed because we've put buhari to the test and have seen him for who he is!

No long story. Choose Okonjo Iweala as the VP and everything is settled.
I'll certainly Atikulate in 2019, but choosing Iweala will make me campaign for him for free.

kaduna , Adamawa, zamfara,Benue, plateau and many northern states are still wailing the loss of their people because the president looked the other way.In all honesty I don't think north central,SE,SS parts of NE , would won't to live in fear after 2019.Atiku is accepted by majority of Nigerians because of his detribalised nature and unifying attributes.

Rubbish!

Southeast will rather vote for a smaller party if PDP disrespect them by picking the VP from another region!

Mind you Southeast is an enlightened region! The people don't vote like zombie that can vote without calculation!

This is why Southeast will still vote for Goodluck if he recontest with Buhari tomorrow, even if they know Buhari will win! This is because they know and are enlightened that Buhari does not have anything to offer!

I almost cried for Nigeria after seeing how lifeless buhari looked at APC convention. He looked so lost and dejected, as lifeless as a dry leaf. Buhari must go back o, we need an active president
