The Nigerian organised labour and organised private and other workers sector reportedly recommend N30,000 as minimum wage per month but Federal Government disagrees. Their stance will shock you.

Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the president of the Nigerian Labour Congress, says the federal government will soon announce the new minimum wage as they kick against the already announced amount.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, says the federal government will address the agitation for an increase in the minimum wage to avoid more protest.

There happen to be a rift between the Federal Government and the workers union as the negotiation for a new minimum wage has been stalled. SchoolPlusCareer.com gathered that the Federal Government and the Nigerian Labour Congress have differing amounts and hence, the center cannot hold because things have fallen apart.

According to Vanguard, the federal government had earlier presented a miserly amount per month as new minimum wage to the other social partners when the tripartite committee resumed sitting on Thursday, October 4.
