Some time ago, a former President, Olusegun Obasanjo said ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar “can never enjoy” his support for a political office.

He said God will never forgive him if he backs Atiku’s presidential ambition.

Obasanjo made the statement in an interview held before Atiku emerged presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

But apparently, that was not the first time he had expressed the sentiment.

In 2015, the former president made the comment during a question and answer session at the launch of his book, ‘The Watch’. The event was organised by the Royal African Society.

“With what I know about Atiku, if I had put Atiku forward, God will not have forgiven me,” Obasanjo had said.

God is a very merciful and patient father.

The way these politicians bring the name of God into everything they do or say one will think they really fear God.

I guess Obasanjo believes now that God has forgiven him so he can support Atiku.

It is unbelievable that a tribe filled with irredeemable hate for Hausa Fulani Kanuri Yoruba Ikwerre n virtually every other tribe in Nigeria want their chosen candidate to be elected the president of Nigeria after unsuccessfully clamoring to burn down the Zoo “Nigeria”. How Nigerians manage to remain sane in the midst of Igbo treachery, chronic irredeemable hate n sabotage is way beyond my comprehension.
