A pipeline explosion in Umuimo and Umuaduru village, close to Arongwa in Osisioma Local government area Abia State has killed many people.Houses were also burnt down.It is unclear if all the photos are from the scene of the incident after many online users shared them.However,what is clear the occurrence of explosion that burnt many to ashes.

How many times has this happened...a pipeline bursts....and instead of people to keep away, people promptly start scooping fuel or kero. Just one spark later...lives are lost.

For many years...NNPC and other agencies have been warning people.....Stay away from burst pipelines. Dont go near burst pipelines. But people don;t hear...and they will be claiming poverty.

Yes, this country is poor...but poverty does not mean we take leave of our senses.

Forget APC, forget PDP....when people start having sense in our country....perhaps we would see less of this crisis.

These facilities should not transit residential areas. I feel for the lost but in most cases it's usually caused by awoof. In other countries, these pipeline run above the ground and yet no body touches them.
