How many times has this happened...a pipeline bursts....and instead of people to keep away, people promptly start scooping fuel or kero. Just one spark later...lives are lost.

For many years...NNPC and other agencies have been warning people.....Stay away from burst pipelines. Dont go near burst pipelines. But people don;t hear...and they will be claiming poverty.

Yes, this country is poor...but poverty does not mean we take leave of our senses.

Forget APC, forget PDP....when people start having sense in our country....perhaps we would see less of this crisis.

People without proper education and poverty can't have sense. .

Don't know the cause though. As for me whenever I see pipeline leaking, I can only take to my heels and run as far as possible and not to go and start scooping petrol.

One poor woman told a poor young man to stay away from the pipeline.

The man refused to listen...he died...in the resulting explosion.

Poverty is all very well...but common sense is still common sense.

There are poor people who run away when a pipeline burst.

You are an illiterate. Oil pipelines run through many states in Nigeria. They died from refined petroleum products and not crude oil. Crude oil itself is not as this inflammable. If it was, most people in Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom would have been dead by now.
