And Igbos do not vote based on interest, the vote based on sentiment. That is why they voted Obasanjo, Yaradua and Goodluck and even when it was clear the way to go, they refused to join the change train. They fought the dirtiest for goodluck and still good not get any reasonable vote for him. Votes are won in the SW and NW. the rest are just to complete the numbers in the end.

There is a sizeable Christian population in the North as well. Particularly in Taraba, Benue, Adamawa and Bauchi States

These are the people Atiku will be banking on amongst others
