Not always true...I was like 13yrs old when I saw my own elder sister fall under the anointing. So they aren't all staged bro.

That explains why cameramen or ushers or instrumentalists do not fall; they are focused on their instruments and not even joining in the prayers, so they typically wouldn't be in the same emotional state as the other person who's fervently praying with their eyes closed.

Even your common hypnotists on the streets (e.g. one chance 419 operators), a pre-requisite for their hypnotism to work on their victims is that the victim MUST be 'interested' in the deals they're offering; and with that interest comes focus - that's when their hypnotism works. If the victim isnt focusing on their discussions, their trick never works.

And for the final question why it's majorly women falling. That's simple, women get emotional and hysterical more easily.

Yeah the keypoint of what I said was that the person has to be deeply focused on the prayer itself. Eyes being open or closed isnt of much significance.

Mesmerism and similar phenomenon are way older than pentecostal Christianity.

Falling under the annointing is not part of original Christianity. You can see it nowhere in the Bible that people are consistently blessed or delivered falling under so called annointing.

Pastor don't necessarily have to lay hands on you befor you fall under the anointing. Anointing cones in different ways and form. It could be through praise or worship songs.

It has never happened to me but it did in 2016 twice on thesame day at mfm Power must change hands program and a great revelation was revealed to me the next day sunday. During this worship time my head was slowly spinning and was in a trance and I fell to the ground. After the service we were asked to wait. While waiting we were singing and again I fell under the anointing.

Anointing is real. It shows the Holy Spirit is with you and your breakthrough is near. in my own opinion.

nothing logical to attach to it, perhaps an overload of emotions could lead to a genuine fall but does not translate to getting blessed or delivered from anything

FALLING UNDER THE ANOINTING or CRYING WHILE PRAYING & WORSHIPING GOD
(Correct me if am wrong)
I use to wonder why when others fall and I don't, even in the same congregation. But later I realized that it's not just all about falling but submission. There are some persons who are not submissive to the spirit; in worship, prayer and praise to God. Have you equally wonder why people cry during worship or prayer? At this point, one can say your spirit is broken (you now have a connection in the spirit that within seconds, tells you how worthless you are but still enjoy God's Favour, Love, Security, Provision, Protection etc). Now, about falling. People can fall because of:

1. A Possessed Spirit Leaving the Body
The body is under the control of a Spirit and Consciousness also called the Soul. So if the spirit of a man leaves, the person falls indicating that the body is no longer controlled by that spirit. Lets go to Church; even while someone is possessed by an Angel of God (of which I have witnessed) and the Angel tend to leave after delivering the message, the person falls. Likewise it is when an evil spirit leaves the body at a command usually during deliverance cases.

2. Impactation
While in an impactation service, one falls as a reason of receiving something heavier than just the physical interpretation. You experience a heavy move upon you but the funny thing is that you can resist it by (1) doubt (2) non-submission to God (3) Pride; 'me of all people if I fall na f**k up". And you don't fall. While on the other hand you don't fall but you receive A CONFIRMATION OF GOD'S PURPOSE AND DIRECTION FROM THE ULTERANCE OF THE MINISTER. You must not necessarily fall.

Conclusion
Falling under the anointing is an amazing experience, but because we have a SELF WILL we sometimes chose to let God have His way or not. Sometimes the Pastor will pause and ask you to release yourself, that's because we resist the move of God.

What happens to them has nothing to do with the Spirit of God, and this because Jesus Christ said that it is only in those that submit to and obey His teachings and commandments that He(Spirit of Truth) and the Father(Spirit of God) will come and make their homes in. undecided

And what people do in those churches headed by their Mogs have nothing to do with obeying any of Jesus Christ's actual commandments or teachings. undecided

Jesus Christ taught against your praying in the manner you do in your churches, even what you call praise and worship does not align with His teachings and commandments, so how can the Spirit of God be involved in the theatrics that is "anointing" in your churches? undecided
