You're more confused than I thought. Who was arguing with you that the brain STOPS ALL KINDS OF DEATH? What are you even on about? The scenarios you described HAD NOTHING to do with the brain function, so why would anyone expect the brain to interfere?

You're not a kid, so you don't need me to tell you that the brain is not responsible for how people choose to kill themselves. Some people dive in front of a moving train to end their lives, some take poisons, some commit suicide by jumping from a high-rise building, some from entering a lion's den for them to be eaten. How on earth is the brain suppose to interfere in people's free will? Some people are atheist, while some are religious. It's their freewill.


In case you're finding it difficult to understand, let me make it as simple as simple can get; the brain can't interfere in those scenarios because it's not its job, but in attempting to drown or kill yourself by not breathing, the brain interferes because lack of oxygen is involved. Should I type it in pidgin or what? When one's throat is slashed or ripped open from a bullet hole (even if the person does it to himself) and he's still momentarily alive, the person will fight to breathe as the brain interferes. He must do it because the brain wants oxygen, he has no choice.


The height of confusion is laid bare in your first paragraph. It's so shocking that you missed the point despite having answered correctly. The person who dies by hanging with out struggling for air did so, according to you, because HIS NECK SNAPPED. How the fuck_ do you expect the brain to interfere when the neck had snapped immediately and killed him instantly? Do dead people struggle to breathe? If the neck hadn't snapped, the brain would've interfered. Why is this so hard for you to understand?
