You need not worry ma.I did not experience MS to point I was pregnant. I was having cramps which make me to anticipate my period for the month but my sleeping on duty on daily basis and craving for early breakfast which I'm not known for prompted me to consult google and my finding made me to run pt and it turn out positive. So relax ma and count yourself lucky if you don't have ms.


My first scan was at 6weeks 5days.

Mamas, pardon me i haven't been able to do roll call for sometime. Was outa my town. Am sure the ministry is moving smoothly to the glory of God! We should be in our 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th week respectively. I hope we are attending our ante natal classes and taken our 2nd dose of the TT injection.

I haven't taken mine tho as my appointment is in 2weeks time.

Shopping nko? I hope you're doing it small small already.I pray God provides us with finances to be able to carry out this task.

I believe our bumps are now obvious. Abeg do yanga with it oo before we start serious waddling.

Let's not forget to put our team mate bunny19 in prayers as she is going through this phase, May God replace with something better and fill her with strength to carry on.

Please if i missed out on anyone or anything, please call my attention.

Pls take your supplements religiously ooo. Else I'll come knock on your doors and force feed you.

If you know the sex of your LO please provide. For me, I'm thinking of making it a surprise at delivery but not sure yet because the suspense is killing. A part of me just wants to peep.

Congratulations to all the strong mamas that have delivered their bundles of joy! May God bless your Lo's and give u d strength to nurse them. Those of us still waddling, I pray for ease for us all, we will hear d cry of our babies and nuture them and it will end in praise. God bless us all

Hurray!!! One more roll call before our beloved December, I'm so in awe.
Just like yesterday when we saw the most beautiful two lines announcing these bundles of Joy, I can't help but say INDEED THIS GOD IS TOO GOOD.

Wonderful December Mamas, how are we doing.
The long awaited 3rd trimester here, we are getting closer to the D-Day. 12weeks or less to go isn't that beautiful. Thank God for bringing us this far. 

How is baby shopping going for everyone?.
Wow, shopping made me realised this is truly happening for real. It will surely end in praise for us all.
Mamas let's try and conclude our shopping as soon as possible so we can atleast wash and iron before packing. I pray God makes provision speedily before we get too heavy to be going around the market.? God will see us through in Jesus name, amen.

Experienced mamas in the house, how soon can I start trying for another baby? It's been one week since my evacuation. A close friend suggested I start immediately but I read online that the lining of the womb might not be fully back by then.

I also read mixed stories of women who tried immediately. Some carried to term and others miscarried again. Me I'm scared of that happening again so I'm being careful.

Abeg make u a help me chook mouth. Is it safe to start trying again immediately?

Good morning sabi mamas,I was diagnosed as having Typhoid fever yesterday.The lab technician that conducted the test told me it's on the high level and it needs to be treated as soon as possible.He prescribed Amoxil (500mg)Beachan,of which I bought immediately but I am still worried because I feel this weakness all over my body and we are 37 weeks 5 days today.I don't know if this is peculiar to me alone because it's kinda strange,everything has been going on smoothly before now.
Please I need advice from all the mums on what to do because I planned visiting the hospital if it persist after three days of medication.

During my first pregnancy I had malaria and typhoid. I was treated for the malaria but the doctor said they don't treat typhoid in pregnancy so I carried that pregnancy with typhoid.

I'm surprised your healthcare giver is treating you. If he's correct then it means mine made me suffer all through pregnancy for nothing.

How can i make my breast milk flow well I've tried breast pump, Akamu, samia water, hot water and it's still not flowing well it's a week I gave birth and I'm really bothered cos I planned on exclusive breastfeeding but all she has been taking is NAN

First off I'd like to return all glory to God for this pregnancy. Other than bitter taste bud around week 5 that lasted for about a week or 2, I can say it was a ride in the park. Grateful to you God.

I really wanted to put to bed on October 1st cos of the special date thingy but nothing happened. I also didn't want to exceed my edd cos I could become fearful and all, so I kept praying to God to send labour my way and bring my baby out.
Edd came and I felt nothing, went for antenatal as usual no complain other than I was tired of being pregnant so my gyna asked me to take castor oil later on at night.
I purposely took the pedestrian bridge on my way home to stress my self a bit. On getting home, ate and went on to do stairs exercise, I counted 400 steps back and forth on the stairs, all in the bid to induce labour naturally as I was scared to take castor oil, going by the good,bad and ugly reviews all over the Internet. But I stil felt nothing and was becoming frustrated. Later on around 8:30pm took a 30 mins walk to get fresh pineapple juice and mango juice. When i got back home, I took the mango juice and went straight to bed.

Woke up to poo around 12am and then went on to have menstrual like cramps from 3am which lasted about a minute or 2(it didn't destruct my sleep, I only change sides when the contraction came). By morning, the contractions was not regular so I didn't bother to time it. Got my older daughter dressed for church, cooked breakfast and went on to have my bathe. As I was bathing a thick blood fell off(sorry tmi). I checked well and could only see thick blood. So I finished up, dressed for church, repacked my hospital box and had breakfast. I had intentions of going to church and then head to the hospital afterwards depending on how I was feeling.

After the bloody show I expected contraction to be frequent and timely. But i only felt it once more and nothing again. So I googled what seeing blood could mean at that stage and the stuff that came up were placenta previa and some other scary stuff so this made me jittery and I immediately left for the hospital with my hubby and older daughter.

Got to the hospital around 9:30am. The doctor on duty listened to baby's heartbeat said it was fine. He also checked my cervix and told me I was 4cm gone. But was worried I said I saw blood and I didn't do late scan( 3rd trimester scan). So he asked me to do an urgent scan. Unfortunately their sonographer was not around so hubby, I and my older daughter drove to clinix, they said they open 12pm on Sundays and this was 11am, by now contractions was back and hitting me hard in the car, will cry a little and my older daughter will pet me. We ended up returning to ikeja to use a scan centre closer to the hospital just incase. By the time we got there around 11:30am, we were no 6 on the queue, contraction was now frequent and I was just excusing my self to cry and cringe in one corner. Fast forward to when they started attending to patients at 12:30pm, my hubby quickly showed them the referral letter from the hospital that it was urgent so I was attended to first. The sonographer said every was fine, that placenta wasn't covering the cervix and that my water was about to pop that we should quickly head back to the hospital.

We got back to the hospital around past 1pm and was taken to labour ward after the doctor went through my scan report. By now the contractions were now 5 mins apart and very painful. I was checked and told I was 6cm gone. Honestly at this point all I good mutter was Jesus help me and I would cry in between cos the pain was out of this world. Few mins later I had this urge to poo, the midwife didn't expect that I would progress so fast, so she said I shouldn't push or poo that it was my baby descending. So I was checked and my membrane was ruptured. By now the contractions/pain was unbearable and all I was feeling was intense pressure to poo, but was asked to still hold on and allow baby descend fully, So I I held on a lil but when I couldn't again I screamed that I wanted to poo and had no control anymore, when they checked again they saw the baby's head and just asked me to push with every contraction I felt. I just shot my eyes and screamed Jesus help me push, felt the vj tearing but pushed right through it. Baby came out with loud cries exactly 2pm weighing 3.5kg.

Had second degree tear and lost lots of blood but I am grateful. I prayed for short labour and Jesus did it. Thankful all the way.

I think you should wait it out a bit according to experience.

I had an evacuation after miscarriage and just because I was desperate to get pregnant again I had sex same week thinking I would get pregnant again forgetting I can't even ovulate before 2 or 4weeks. I did it because I read some where that am most fertile after a miscarriage. Mind you I was still spotting from the evacuation I did. It resulted to infection I guess because I had to TTC for 18months again before I got pregnant, that is even after a laparoscopy and heteroscopy diagnostic surgery where a die was used to flush my tube. 2weeks after that surgery I got pregnant. It shows something was blocking my tube after that first evacuation due to my carelessness I guess.

Please let your body heal and make sure you use your antibiotic and you stop bleeding before sex again.Give your self a week or 2 more before sex again.

I think you should give it some time.
I working a fertility clinic and if things like miscarriage happens, the doctor will always advice to wait and see your menses before trying again.

Meanwhile @sabi mamas please pardon my ignorance o, I intend going for Exclusive BF, but I'm confused about the use of some items I'm about getting.

1.Electric breastfeeding pump (I quite understand I need it for EBF, but since I intend buying it, should I also get the others below? And after pumping, how do I store? Can I store in the bottle that comes with the pump or I have to get a breast milk storage bag?)

2.Sterilizing set (Is this just for breast milk or even formula, how important/useful is it please)

3.Breast milk bottle warmer (Do I also need this after using the breast pump & maybe storing in the fridge? Also is it for breast milk only or including formulas) How useful/important pls

4. Breast milk storage bags(I'm going to be working from home for a long time, besides going to church I may not have the need to go anywhere for long, so I wonder if I also need to get this... Especially as I feel the breast milk could be stored in the bottles that comes with the breast pump.)

Lastly, do I still need to get feeding bottles cos I noticed most of these items come with one or two feeders.

Please pardon my ignorance and the confusion, I just want to make sure I'm getting the most important & necessary items once & for all.
