Aboki, don't quote me wrongly, I did say there are little gains achieved in NPOWER, but u don't gain little by loosing much (Major job loss). During GEJ regime, the country has the best GDP in Africa, and was one of the top 20 fastest growing economies in the world. Yes, there were little problems at the tail end of GEJ regime, but we still had things quite better. Dollar was N220 as at April 2015, petrol was still N87, and foodstuffs was still fairly cheap. You talking about the global oil fall, was NIGERIA the only country to experience oil fall? Other oil nations didn't experience recession, 2. The 6 months buhari took to appoint his cabinets crashed the economy, as no one was managing the fiscal policies, at the same time he was interfering with the monetary policy and foreign exchange policies of the CBN. 3. Foreign investors distanced themselves from Nigeria, and the ones who were in Nigeria liquidated their investment and left, this was due to interference and lack of direction of the buhari first year in governance. Example, In a day, the Nigerian Stock Exchange lost almost a trillion Naira in shares in 2016 (Google is your friend). 4. What even put the nail on the coffin is the attempt to ban basic imported products into NIGERIA, and not allocating dollars to product manufacturers excluding Dangote. This made foodstuffs very expensive, because the few people that imported these raw materials/goods did so at an exorbitant price, and due to lack of competition in the import market fixed retail price at a higher level which we still suffering till this moment. 5. Appointing an accountant to manage the economy is the biggest blunder, an Economy as big as Nigeria is meant to be managed by an Economist. ItsMeAboki: |

captainamiedi1:If after 22 years in school you have been jobless for 8 years then you would understand that Npower is not a full time employment from the FG but a temporary fix while they help you upgrade yourself while paying you for the same free upgrade pending when you gain full employment from the same FG or from another source |

All i will say is that we all know how Sure P started and ended. Oh wait a sec...has PDP refunded d money they stole thru Patrick Abba Moro by scamming unemployed youths (some even lost their lives in d process) of this country in d ill-fated NIS employment drive of d GEJ administration? Awon ole jati jati...u couldn't do something successfully, and those who are doing it, u are discrediting just because u want to return to loot more. Woe betide you people!!! |

yomi962:Like said earlier,,npower is not an equivalence of job employment becos they give you money without asking for your time.... its a sustainance scheme for the youth just like nysc #19800 i.e till you can get a job or start something on your own. You can be on Npower scheme and still be working in some factory or be doing other hustle jobs ... its doesnt limit you in anyway but @least you are sure 30k is coming asides other hustle as an unemployed youth. Do you even know there are white collar jobs out there offering youth with good resume 40k ,70k ,,upon taking all your time.. as for now these remains the best govt initiative scheme let commend it ... if you have a better alternative say it lets see how realistic & viable it will be |

DonFreshmoney:When you leave in a mono economy what happened to Nigeria through GEJ is expected. GEJ bastardized our economy by dollarizing it as it were so the slightest drop in our area of dependency would cause an equal drop in our currency value due to over dependence on the dollar. Our economy under PDP and GEJ was a false economy. It was a farce which got exposed for the farce it was by the global drops in crude oil prices. If indeed our economy was awesome under GEJ then we would not have felt the recession the way we did. GEJ was simply dressing up a skeleton and passing it off as healthy. All you are talking about up there are all side effects of a recessed economy occasioned by years of gross mismanagement and resource drainage by incompetent and thieving people in PDP

Airforce01:It's ok to hold on to your view but, tell me, where have you ever heard President Buhari promoting hate, and telling lies? Are you examining his actions and words yourself, or through the prism of disgruntled elements with their own personal grieviances? Personally, I don't see it. If anything he's been dignified in the face of all the dishonest onslaught and outright misrepresentations. And along with his estimable V-P, justs gets on with it. I think he has made mistakes, slow to react and slow to emphatize, has been found wanting in selecting the proper caliber of people to do certain tasks and has not held them to account, and times have been very hard (although we are on an uptick) , but hate and lies - no. IMO. |

This Atiku Media are so unproductive and unskilled...i wish they were groomed well enough to have discussed something more engaging than the N power scheme they are attacking....either its 30k or lesser, the fact is this administration lend out their hands to help the masses,i cant even imagine the number of beneficiaries in N power scheme at the moment they probably didn't say its a full time job to stick to forever but its an avenue to get skilled up and empowered.....if this initiative has been introduced earlier in the years,it would have helped our youths a lot to be independent and productive in each area of their trained skills......Atiku will never consider to give a hand to the poor in any chance given to him at any point, his schools and businesses are privatize and only the rich can afford to explore. What a shame!!! |

i really wonder why the Atikuans will discredit the Npower program, this program has helped a lot of people in Nigeria like it or hate it... This is one of the initiatives by the Buhari Administration that has made a lot of positive impact on the lives of the masses i see no reason why they will discredit it...just because Atiku couldn't do that which the masses will benefit from does not give him the right to discredit that which another has done. |

N-power knowledge this is a train to job initiative that would speed up advancement in technology and creativity which would lead to a diversified economy. 25000 non-graduates would be engaged in this and each would get a computing device and other information products needed to excel, this is divided into three sections (1)N-power creativity (2)N-power tech software (3)N-power tech hardware N-power build this is a skill to job training and certification program aim at engaging 75000 young unemployed Nigerians to become skilled and competent technicians, artisans and services professionals.the industries this will be focusing on include automotive , utilities, constructions, building services, aluminum, gas and built environment services. kindly take ur time to read through and ur brain will never remain the same, do ur proper research before talking and stop making urself look like a nuisance like you just did. Airforce01:Keep on criticising. I can tell you of one of the beneficiaries who have grown his snail and piggery farming beyond Npower. He started small with that little 30k stipend, he has upgraded now. He did a short course at Fed Univ of Agric Abeokuta on piggery, grass cutter, and Snail farming. He has a big farm now. He's currently being assisted by Bank of Industry with the purchase of machines to produce their food. I'm also thinking of starting small in my father's compound. Knowledge is power. |

How will sane individuals discredit a programme that has turned out to be transparent and one in which we have thousands of beneficiaries benefiting from the positive flow the programme brings. I honestly believe atiku and his cohorts are bent on discrediting this government but all will amount to their downfall because Nigerians have already decided and we know atiku is not in the picture. Airforce01:If you were Yusuf Buhari, you will do worst things. Listen to yourself, if you have a wife and 4 children....... Npower program is for youths, to keep them engaged till they get something of their choice. We've seen those that have made career in their areas especially in farming. Honestly, today is a bad day for atikulants. |

Bannylove13:People like you can not do anything to discredit this scheme and this government. The people have spoken and they are pleased. Tell me one scheme like this that has succeeded in the history of this country. None . But you are here talking thrash. Government can not provide everything in one day or one year or even four years. Do you know how many universities in Nigeria, do you how many graduates that are coming out every year? So the little they have done I think we should give them kudos for it. What is sure is that the scheme is working and is real. |

yomi962:This initiative is under the office of the VP, which such laudable initiative that touches the life of the masses did Atiku do when he was in the office of the VP? 30,000 * 500,000 youths is 15,000,000,000. #15bn Monthly for the masses. Let's not forget the immediate and long term impact of having such qualified and energetic youths teach this pupils, the increase in the quality of teaching , the quality of farm produce etc. Even if an idea is not perfect, let's appreciate the intent and look towards developing it, we are never going backwards. I am an NPOWER beneficiary and I've done a lot with the 30k. |

Anyone that is against the initiative that add value to the lives of the public is an enemy of Nigeria, the Npower that is under the office of the VP, has touched the life of the masses. Did Atiku or his party do such thing when they where in the office, 30,000 * 500,000 youths is 15,000,000,000. #15bn Monthly for the masses. It is good that people are now coming to understand that the Government can not provide everything in one day or one year or even four years. |

Even the 21 thousand I pay my gate man is not enough for him because of inflation, him still dey come collect foodstuff from me. See graduates of Nigerian universities embarrasing themselves all in the name of n power. People that went to school for four years minimum disgracing themselves. |

The day you fire your gate man for one reason or the other,if he doesn't get another job in 2 month or more, U wait and see what he looks like by then. Then you can reach a conclusion on if the 21k has been a saving grace for him all this while or not. Half bread is better than non! In the history of this our obodo naija,a successful scheme like this has never been put in place in the past. waveman2: |

Indeed when a Government works for the people, The people becomes their voice. Obviously the stunt Atiku was trying to pull, pulled him. Kudos Mr. President for N Power scheme indeed graduates that would have being roaming the streets in search of job are employed and being paid. |
