Religious beliefs breed no attendance to school
Nothing is gonna change it.

This large uneducated population vote to produce president for Nigeria.

Easterners who want to leave the failed and impossible country are blackmailed by Mooorons with the phrase: Biafrauuud, no lefelendun no erection.

These moorons think that they are blackmailing children.

Nigeria and indeed the North is sitting on a time bomb because of (hundred of thousands) uneducated children roaming the street in rags and begging for food instead of being in the school learning.

These children are being deceived by religious and the elites who manipulate them for their selfish gain.

This same religion that is used to empoverished these children is same one practiced in Morocco, Saudi, Iran,Kuwait, yet you won't find children roaming the streets during school hours.

Western education librates the mind, gives you sense of direction and a partway in life.....a situation the Northern religious and political leaders will never allow.
Which other time bomb, it's here already for crying out loud. They are ready tool for their elite.

What else do you expect? A region where despite having had the most shot at power, their region is still the most uneducated, the most poverty ridden, the most diseased, the most violent, the most depressed, the most resistant to
advancement.

If there was no Boko haram, there would be another terrorist group (herdsmen are already one sef). This is because their mix of oppressive culture and religion engenders violence.

Lord Laggard, you inflicted this heavy injury on southern British protectorate in West Africa.
Hundred years after, religious beliefs wouldn't allow the northern protectorate go to school.
But the north produced leaders for the south in about 45 years of Nigeria's 58 years as independent country.
Nigeria collapsed.

Lord Luggard, ....

You need to visit the North to appreciate the ugly situation. States like Zamfara, Adamawa, Sokoto and Bauchi will make you understand why the North is Nigeria's Achilles' heel. And to make matters worse, their so called leaders are the loudest when it comes to exchanging ideas bordering on education, healthcare, technology and infrastructure. I am not putting up empty words, I have facts.

I dont think Buhari minds that. If they are not there how will he be able to command cult-like followership in the North? People like Buhari prey on the illiterate almajiri of the North. By the way, how e take different from almajiri himself? He was just lucky to be a favoured one and Nigeria is paying a great price for that now.

The rate of illiteracy in the north is alarming. People there go into marriage without proper planning for the children apart from shipping them into various states to do shoe shining and packing of refuse.

Their youths don't contribute any meaningful thing to their immediate environments. They don't take part in weekly or monthly sanitations, they don't develop any place of their abode, they don't rent house or build one etc. everything about them is archaic.

Before you quote me, check Northern youths in your immediate environments.

And GEJ tried to emancipate them by building 9 universities for them, yet they rigged him out because darkness and illiteracy are their norms

Northerners are usually good in subjects that requires craming ( the result of early Islamic classes enrollment) like medicine and mathematics, hence computer science. Build on those strengths.

You put craming and Mathematics/Computer Science in the same bracket? Are you sure you are not one of the kids they are talking about?

If you have experience with advanced education you'll know that
1. Where people have difficulty with English language they do better in numbers. Most parts of Nigeria speak broken English so they have that one step ahead. The north speaks Hausa and Arabic, hence the run towards numbers
2. Non applied courses that require rote learning, like medicine is especially easier for them because it requires craming. They have expose to recitation from an early age and must complete the whole Quran to graduate. They take this more important than western education alot of times.

From rote learning to the regular slaughter of animals, meticulous skinning it for prayer ants and sharing the meat to multiple wives equally etc the Hausa man is equipped for medical school .by these natural actions to him which is not so natural for.others.
The rote also helps him study law well.

If you know programming it is actually pure logic and a good grasp of mathematics can help you there.

When the course is mostly applied they do poorly.

Despite them being in power more than the southerners. Most of the Nigerian military heads of state were northerners. They don't value education as much as other ethnic groups.

United Nations Children Education Fund, UNICEF, has said 69 percent of children without access to basic education in Nigeria were from the northern partof the country. UNICEF Education Specialist, Azuka Menkiti, who stated this while speaking at a two-day media dialogue in Kano yesterday, attributed the development to some obsolete cultural practices and religious misinterpretations in the region. According to him, the obsolete cultural practices and religious misinterpretations are also responsible for increased poverty in northern Nigeria.

Menkiti also noted that 69 percent of children without access to education in Nigeria were found in streets of northern Nigeria, with North East states leading and North West states trailing behind. To this end,UNICEF charged political, traditional and community leaders in the region to put more effort to change the statistics as regards number of children without education She said: “Few weeks ago, we held an education conference in Kaduna and it impressed traditional, community and religious leaders. “Stakeholders that participated in the meeting signed a commitment to join forces with government and global partners to pull children out of the streets and return them to school so as to secure a peaceful and productive posterity. “We don’t insist on formal education. It could be Koranic education. But it will be more profitable if they combined both Koranic and formal education. Records indicated that about 9.5 million school age children in Nigeria are currently enrolled Koranic schools across Nigeria but only 24 percent of them combine both formal and Koranic education.” Recall that the Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education Commission ,UBEC, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi, recently disclosed that the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria had increased from the 10.5 million it stood before to 13.2 million.

The increase in the figure ,he said, could be attributable to increased attacks and destruction of educational facilities in communities in some North East states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. Speaking also at the event, Head of Child Right Information Bureau,CRIB, in the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Olumide Osayinpeju, said the essence of the media dialogue was to draw attention to implications of uneducated posterity. “Evidence exists that increased investment in education and protection of the vulnerable citizens, in this case children, and addressing inequality would ensure sustained growth and stability in Nigeria. “We heed to integrate children, especially those in difficult terrain and other excluded children and ensure equitable distribution of education resources,”she said.

And so what? Who gives a ratass if 100 percent of children without access to basic western education is from northern region of Nigeria? This dumbass UNICEF should elaborate on what basic education it is all about. The children from the northern region of Nigeria receive Arabic education and were taught to beg.

Do you have any data to prove this

Are you actually saying Medicine is non applied or that being able to kill a cow means you can be a good Surgeon? You do realize the aim of surgery to stop a person from dying?

If you know programming it is actually pure logic and a good grasp of mathematics can help you there.

You cannot "cram" logic, its either you know it or you don't. Your first post said Northerners should study courses they can cram and you went on to mention Medicine, Maths and Computer Science. Really?

When the course is mostly applied they do poorly.

If Medicine is not applied, I wonder which course is

Point of Correction UNICEF!
The headline is misleading. The northern youths, especially the core north has more access to education than youths in the rest of the country.
The issue is that, our parents refuses sending us to school, they prefer ALMAJARI (school of the street and blood) than conventional schools.
I'm a northerner too, before someone will start shouting blue murder.
Next time, get your facts right.
Thank you.
