You are wrong. Nigerian engineers are part of the construction. It's part of the contract CCEC signed. Technology must be transferred.

Why can't you people just accept the fact?
Or will someone harm you?

The Nigerian entertainment industry is too robust and advanced with hot competition and that's why any Nigerian entertainers will go to Kenya to seek relevance which they get there on a platter of Gold. Afterall, in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. grin

Talking about Kenyan artistes winning African awards in comparison with Ghanaian artistes is a joke, let alone putting Nigeria in such clause.
Dozens of Nigerian comedians are super rich. The richest comedian in Kenya will not even be in the top 10 list in Nigeria.

Just check the awards list for yourself rather than rattling.

Yes the thread was started by a Nigerian but Nigerians have since lost interest in the thread, but you Kenyans keep on fanning the flames to keep it going, even to the extent to debating against Africans of other nationalities here. What desperation.

What have you guys achieved with your pipe dream East African Federation (EAC)? Did it work out with Tanzania?

ECOWAS which is dominated and run by Nigeria is the most succesful regional block in Africa because we West Africans know how to work together.

Which other Africans have we attacked from here?
The only African who has been desperate and slaves to Kenyans to the extent of following us even in a foreign forum is that Tanzanian guy,he keeps on ill talking about Kenya rather than promoting his own country here then we hit him back you start complaining that we're fighting other Africans..lol

You were never doing well. Nigeria has always been doing terrible right from kick off. I think only three years after independence you had a coup where you killed each other. You were given the title of Giant mainly because of your insane population (sex essentially). Nigeria alone has as many people as the whole of East Africa. If you guys had known recreational sex you wouldnt have been labelled giant because you wouldnt have made so many baby Ogas. Remember it was a white fellow who gave you that name.

Hahaha ati insane population

Who told you so?
It's Nigerians and that Tanzanian guy who keep on desperating their emotions with Kenyans at all cost, you guys naturally become mad when you hear some strange facts.
Nigerians are just obsessed with Kenya,no wonder we host a thousands of them here in different parts of Kenya.

It'll be electrified sooner rather than later. More proof that our jua Kali media and trash mouth 'experts' like Ndii are the real problem. Or maybe like all Africans even the educated, they're stuck in their comfort zone, the old inefficient way?

David Ndii is behind most of the exaggerated negativity about Kenya, namely the SGR, public debt, TZ overtaking Kenya economically by 2022...but I understand him since he Raila Odinga's adviser on economic campaign strategy, it was all about political propaganda campaigns, ...and TZs / Nigerians were so happy about it thinking it's the reality

Fat lie. Your Mombasa- Nairobi 465km standard gauge cost $3.6b while Nigeria's 343 km standard gauge constructed so far is $2.4b. The total cost of the whole project is $6,6b and it is about 1,150 km.

Need I tell you that your Nairobi-Malaba standard gauge railway which is 490km is costlier than that because it is $7b. shocked grin

Which is built at a lower cost? shocked grin

Abuja is not effective for economic activities? Bhahahaha! grin

Is there any city in Kenya as economical vibrant than Abuja? grin

A city of 2.5m people. grin

Why don't you expose everything about your sgr which we all know you people spent a lot of money to build it?
Talk of the main sgr project running from Lagos to calabar at 1402 km which costed 12 billion dollars against Kenya's total sgr project running from mombasa to malaba at a cost of 8 Billion dollars.
So who's building theirs at a lower cost? And furthermore Kenya's sgr is more beautiful than your sgr, some Nigerians confirmed this.
The only beautiful rail project you guys have is the Abuja metro rail.
Don't hype with partially completed projects, most Nigerians have been overrating Kenya's sgr though because they point black fingers to your corrupt politicians..

Hahaha so you want to compare Nairobi with Abuja?
You're mad grin better talk of Lagos because Nairobi beats Abuja in all aspects by 80%.I can prove this beyond unreasonable doubt.
Nairobi's population is 7.5 million plus including the metropolitan regions.

By now you should know I'm a reasonable man. I LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD. I've never seen any logic in this gender noise. Convince me gving a female REAL power anywhere is somehow a good thing. BTW,only dictatorships can shoehorn women into power. For true democracies its much more difficult. FYI,I've never voted for the strange creature called ,ati Women's Rep!

Ok boss it doesn’t matter what we support but this is my prediction on things to befall cheesy
More women will occupy positions of power than before . The gayish, transgender an abortion thingy will be a norm. America will become browner and the Rich will continue to be rich an poor will remain poor. grin
The good news is that technology growth will keep on doubling each year an that’s good for humanity.
And then……

24 Al Shabaab fighters were killed by a squad of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in Bilis Qooqani, in the southern part of Somalia.

The attack happened at around midnight when a group of militants ambushed a KDF camp near the town.

The close quarter battle that lasted for more than 30 minutes, ended with 24 fatalities while many others escaped with wounds.

Ok, im just being honest. None of those railways can be compared to Kenya's. Thats just the truth. I dont want to put down any country's railway but they are all crap, relative to Kenya's. The Ethiopian one has been discussed here many times. It breaks down like okada and it cannot do double stack containers. Yours, well I dont want to talk about yours but I know theres no way in hell it can be better than Kenyas. No bloody WAY! I would get the shock of my life if I learnt that it can do double stack because Nigerians just dont have that sort of foresight. You cant see so far ahead. Cuz Planning has never been your thing. Trust me, in a decade or so the Kenyan one will be truly world class, electrified and connecting to many neighboring countries. As it is now, it is already something to behold, no matter how you look at it. Even haters admit we have one hell of a railway.

First of all, railway projects are built according to a country's need.

Secondly, 277 km standard gauge railway to carry steel from Itakpe - Ajaokuta then down to Warri port was already built in 1987 though was not operational until recently. And it will do double stack containers, though it will also carry passengers. That was way before Kenya ever dreamt of having one or had the foresight to do one. grin

Nigeria also started the construction of Lagos - Kano standard gauge railway around 2011, way before Kenya thought of one and already had the Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge railway segment operational before Kenya did ground breaking of Mombasa-Nairobi standard gauge railway. This also can do double stack and is also for passengers transportation. Which foresight are you talking about? grin

My friend, we have already completed phase one of Abuja light rail and Calabar monorail. Both are operational as I write.

Lagos light rail and Port Harcourt monorail are also under construction.

You are here talking about foresight. Bhahahaha! grin

When Kenya start construction of intra cities monorail or light rail in 4 kenyan's major cities, come back and let us discuss foresight. Bhahahaha! grin

No, NYS is a government youth thing where young people go (kinda like a barrack) and get training in various national matters. Think of it like a bootcamp. The youths get training in agriculture, security, first aid, community service, para-military training,,, etc. The govt then often fishes for soldiers and police officers from this. Dont you have the same?

I see. Almost same here.

If Nigeria is able to build 1402 km( four thousand four hundred and two kilometres) standard gauge railway from Lagos to Calabar with just $12b, which is about 3 times the length of Nairobi - Malabar, why should Kenya use $8b to build ordinary 490 km standard gauge railway from Nairobi to Malabar? shocked

Nigeria's 1402 km is three × 490km of Kenya's standard gauge railway yet it is just $2b lesser. shocked shocked grin

Who is building at a lower cost? Use your brain and answer the question. grin

Is Kenya's Mombasa- Malabar completed? grin See hypocrite. You built Mombasa-Nairobi and now you're doing Nairobi- Navash. Is that not partial too? Hypocrite. grin

Kenya is still building in segments. D Same way Nigeria is too. Though one segment has been completed like Kenya did with Nairobi-Mombasa, and the other segment will be operational in December. grin

Meanwhile, we have completed the Itakpe - Ajaokuta- Warri section. You are here boasting about Kenya. grin

For your information, Abuja is 6m plus if the metropolitan is included. grin

U got it wrong wenedem. I knew it would be a draw anyhow. Both sides scored one goal yet both disallowed so I was kinda right with 1-1. Damn liked your fans a lot. I think the stadium was way beyond full. Are you usually that soccer mad or Kenya's presence was a draw for some fans undecided We can only hope to match that on Sunday because we barely get half full even in a game of such caliber as against Ghana.

Now wenedem, I just want to warn you buddy about Sunday. We gonna smash you! At home we usually play like Barca. Very smooth carpet moves such that even mighty Ghana had to score an own goal last time to finish off one of our usual wonderful home moves. Your predictions for today's game actually were meant for Sunday, Kenya winning and we gonna have a road to Afcon party without further ado grin

See what we did to Ghana! take note of the barcelonesque passes, wenedem

Wenedem TayserMariri, sorry for the late response (I was lately offline from being ashamed of our football team). Yeah Kenya indeed play like Barca. Is this kind of football has long history with Kenya or is it the work of your current coach?

In the first game we were out of structure but still not very bad. You guys knew what to do and I think you came here to draw. But I wonder if you were aggressive you would have beaten us. There is nothing to say about the second game because it was men against boys. I’m glad I didn’t watched it. You guys will going to quality and good for you. Yes it’s against us but I’m thinking if you continue to play this kind of football you might have a great time in the upcoming African Cup. We on the other hand as usual seems will not qualify and I wonder how old I will be when we succeed.

Mombasa-Malaba is more than 1000kms. I think building a railway is not an end to itself - it should make transport faster and cheaper - and in Kenya's operational section - it's already doing that - and we are on the 8th year projection in year 1- running more than 8 cargo trains - doing two trips each - and 4 passenger trains - at about half the cost. We are also seeing similar benefit in Mombasa port - which surely now only trails Durbain in efficiency.
