Hello guys.

I've finally been able to solve the network issue with my mi max 3 that equally plagued most earlier bought devices that had the unofficial global ROM installed.

The MIUI 10 update which is available via OTA at about 765MB solves it. So no need of flashing the Chinese ROM. Quite a relief

We still dey complain about motor and friction which on the long run would damage the device, most users use their face id all the time, if this ish slides like 50 times a day, I doubt if the sliding motor will survive a year, somethings are not meant to be copied na

Not all about copying, remember the MI mix? They were the first to attempt a bezelless design. As much as moving parts are not ideal in a phone, they said the slider has a life expectancy of 300,000 cycles. 50*365 is still 18250.

The slider mechanism is better than the Vivo/Oppo implementation of pop up camera. Am sure Quality was considered before doing it. We are still waiting for Samsung's in-display camera.

But you failed to mention that Xiaomi started the bezel-less race.

no motor, just slide manually and the magnets do the rest which is a way better option, plus Mi mix was the first in the bezeless race.
The Mi mix series is Xiaomi trying to branch out to uncharted areas of mobile design and i personally think they are doing a great job

voice is what i use. Or download fluid navigation gestures n customize it for Google assistant. It works fine with full screen mode
