While this may be true, some residing in Anioma make claim that they are not Igbo, since a renewed Biafra appears to be leaning towards being an Igbo ethno-state, it would be unwise to force those who have stated that they are not Igbo into such a nation.

The better alternative would be to first form the nation with those who explicitly want and desire such a state and leave those where such zeal is absent. Once such a nation is established, and functional, any group(s) residing in Nigeria that feels that they should be annexed into the ethno-state can begin negotiations with Biafra, thus such inclusion would not be forced upon any group or people.

My brother Investnow2013. What you posted is well known by most of us. The problem is when some of those Igbo groups that you are fighting for are OPENLY denying you. Are you going to point a gun to their head to be part of Igboland or biafra? What we need now is Operation Noah Ark. Those who want to continue denying Igbo should stay away while those who embrace their true heritage will be part of us. We cannot save everyone or force anyone to be part of us

If you really know Rivers state and her geographical map, you'd have know that after Port Harcourt, what you have down south is water and swamp. Ikwerres own the usable land in Rivers state, the rest beneath us is just water and swamp.

Ask yourself why didnt the British build a port down in Ijawlands. Why do they have to site it in PH. Simple answer, the land down to the sea is useless. Period.

The area under PH is occupied by mangrove and marshland which is why all these communities have to be reached by boat, but this is still land, that's locking PH, with small communities scattered on liveable land.

Musical intermission! smiley

Can anyone argue with the fact that the most enduring songs ever to come out of Igboland were recorded in the period preceding and after the civil war? I think it has something to do with the pains and emotional scars of the upheavals and civil war of the time being channelled into music! Same thing could be said about the American black civil rights period of the 60s, as the most enduring and evergreen music was made by blacks mainly during this period; think of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.

The spotlight in this post is on Harcourt Whyte....an Ijaw man that sang some of the best (if not the best) Igbo gospel songs ever! Another one is Sir Warrior and his Oriental Brothers.

Harcourt Whyte: Nna Chebe Nwa Gi.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P6hkZBbcvg

Harcourt Whyte: Atula Egwu

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNgIA1irTO8

Sir Warrior & His Oriental Brothers: Ugo Chi Nyerem

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAhyBNIh1i8

Feel free to add yours...those songs that remind you of your parents or magically transport you to the late 60s and 70s when you listen to them.

Ndigbo, we are created tough, opinionated, strong and resilient.

We are unique, so let's not feel defeated. We deserve better than what 'Nigeria' gives us.

I hail Kanu and other dedicated freedom fighters.

You guys are not freedom fighters, you are fighting for your rights to uppress others.
What you want is to take over other people's lands.
And you are disguising yourselves as "freedom fighters".
Delta-state has never been part of igboland, but the ressources there always have you people add it to your map of biafra and call it igbo land.
For your info. The administratif seperation between Delta-state and Edo-state was done in the 1990's. Before then we had Bendel, and before then, we had midwest and before then we were in the western region and before then both states were part of Benin Kingdom.
So where is the legitimacy of your claim ?
I used to be simpathetic to you guys, but you are acting horrible !
You want to get out of "marginalisation" only in order to marginalise other people.
You guys are acting like animals.
Giving all I have said, it is clear you guys don't want friends, you only want ennemies. And this is why you will always lose.

No part of delta-state is part of your imagined igboland !
I never hear you guys talk about cameroon which has more than 80% of your land. The original biafra (the precolonial african state) was mostly in cameroon.

Anioma are citizens of Benin Kingdom who have held very high positions and who have served their king like all Edo do.
Anioma are Edo !
You don't even try to put forward a logical argument, basically you have this mentality of being entitled. You can't use your brain.

I never hear you guys talk about cameroon which has more than 80% of your land. The original biafra (the precolonial african state) was mostly in cameroon.

Yet, you alluded to the whole of Delta being under the Benin Kingdom, which is a nonsensical claim. A state is a geopolitical expression and has nothing to do with whether you're Igbo or not. Delta state is not an ethnicity or tribe. Nobody here has tried to claim Warri or Sapele as Igbo land and the nonsense you're spewing about "marginalizing" others has no basis in reality. On the contrary, Igbos were marginalized because of the actions of Delta people like Nzeogwu who you claim are not part of our "imagined Igboland". Funny thing, eh?

Once again with the entitleness you think you have.

I bet you wouldn't dare to to any part of Anioma and say this nonsense, it's your charred remains we will see making the front page dailies of Nairaland and other newspaper reports... I'm an Anioma son and like thousands of Aniomas out there, I strongly identify with my Igboness through and through. I find it very disrespectful that you will dare come here and try argue or even as much as distort my own realities with some preposterous Benin rubbish you pulled out of your a.s.s. Thank your stars for the anonymity the internet has graciously provided idiots like you...

Could you talk in a logical manner ?
For your information, the countercoup and its horrors were motivated by the fact that political leaders from everywhere except the south-east were killed. There were yoruba and other non igbo among the coupists. Although it was undeniable that the coupists were more pro-igbo than anything else. But I fail to see the relevency of all this in tis discussion. History did not start with the first nigerian coup.

Chukwuma Nzeogwu(from Delta state) who led the first coup in january 1966 and made Igbos suffer the repercussions for it, is Igbo. Therefore, Jan 15 1966 coup is Igbo coup.

And at the same time. No part of Delta state is Igbo. Right?

If there are any groups in Niger Delta who are so proud of their Igbo identity.

It is the Anioma people.

Yeah, you are all anioma and you are also all spokespersons of all Anioma.
You don't rely on logics to make a point, you rely on making claims on your identity.
This shows how weak your argument is.
And as I can see you know about the annonimity of the internet, yet you believe that because you claim to be anioma, everybody should just believe it ? Contradiction, madness !
There is one person whom we all know to be Anioma: Benin (Edo) Chief Agho Obaseki. His grand son is currently the governor of Edo-state.
And he says: Oba ghato Kpere ! Ise.
I don't know if you noticed, but I haven't made any claims about my own identity. I don't need to, facts and logics are strong enough. Unlike you I don't base my arguments on trying to dupe others.

"Logical manner" coming from a guy that somehow believes a political creation like state boundaries is an immutable identity. The logic is clear. Hateful Igbophobes like you that would like the world to believe we only exist to marginalize everyone would peddle the junk that the '66 coup was a product of typical Igbo greed and ambition, even though the plotters were dominated by Igbos of Anioma extraction. Yet, when it suits those same Igbophobes like you, they'd have the world believe that Aniomas are only part of our "imaginary Igboland" as you put it. Just looking for some consistency from Igbophobes like you. At least, stick to one argument.

So the January 15 1966 coup was masterminded and chaired by a Deltan and Niger Deltan/South-south man all this while?

It is now that their own marginalization will begin..

They never see anything.
