Telling us what we already know - the 'abokis' especially those of kano origin and adherents of some killer religion , would vote for Buhari. But the northern elite and enlightened know better than voting for him.

There's a big difference between an educated person and an illiterate. If there's any element of truth in what you said here, then those who sent you to school should be disappointed in you. That Yam seller is not educated and hence doesn't know what is happening in government. You that knows more than him should have educate him that...
1. Between 8-11 million people has lost their jobs under Buhari's administration.
2. Fuel is now 145 naira a litre despite buhari's government spending about 3.8 billion Naira daily to subsidise fuel.
3. Buhari has borrowed more than the entire PDP 16 years of leadership. If the debt Nigeria owes China is to be split on the heads of every Nigerian, then each Nigerian owes China about 105k.
4. Nigeria is now the world Poverty headquarter with average economic growth of 0.6% compared to 6.6% in the Jonathan era

All these are facts you can use Google to confirm...
That Yam seller doesn’t know how to use Google, but you know.
This is why I think you are a disgrace to those who sent you to school.
But in case I'm talking to a stark illiterate who hasn't been to school, please forgive my lampooning comments. After all buhari himself is an illiterate. Once Atiku gets into office, we'll send you back to school so that you can have what it takes to educate a common Yam seller.

As long as you won't delete this moniker or run away from Nairaland after February 17th, 2019, I shall remind you of what you said here. Even the APC top hierarchy already know that it's game over for the dullard.

So the educated you that want someone to do research with Google, can't use the same Google to research about Mughalu that was once deputy governor of central bank, nor could you carry out research on the over 60 other presidential candidates which includes Donald duke. You want to vote a devil because you are too lazy to find out about the angels.
Is there a difference between you and the yam seller, after all, he may be richer than you.

Nobody is talking about riches here. I don't boast how rich I am, and I don't care how rich you are.
The point is, I actually would love to vote for Moghalu. But this is Nigeria... You and I know that this election is about APC and PDP. Every other parties and their candidate are already aware that they can't win. So if I vote for Moghalu and he doesn't win the election, what is the essence of wasting my vote on him? Majority of Nigerians will vote either buhari or Atiku, we don't need a Prophet to tell us this. If both Atiku and Buhari are wrong candidates, then since we've already tried buhari, common sense demands that we try another person, who is a contender and not a pretender.

I apologize for my earlier comment. Your post shows why we may never get it right. The 48 laws of power talked about coloring choice. People see only A and B when they are many other choices. Democracy is not about voting who would win, but voting the best candidate. Almost all Nigerians know that Buhari and Atiku are not the best for the job, but almost all will vote for either of them This phenomenon is called bandwagon effect.

To me the best is Mughalu, but who is better between Atiku and Buhari, to be Buhari by far. If Atiku had held the positions Buhari have (Governor entire northeast, minister of petroleum, head of army under Shagari, Head of State, head PTDF, And President) he would have been the richest man in the world.

I totally agree with u.

But if we want to change this county for now.. I think we should do more by educating people on the need to know the lesser EVIL between APC n PDP.
That way,..we would be able to get a sane and more people oriented Opposition party to APC.

PDP as a political party to this country is a CURSE!

Saying that the north will vote Buhari is like saying the Northerners are stupid and do not know when a leader is not working in the favor of the citizens. But i think that what APC should be concerned about is getting Buhari to write waec.

Not PDP; Not-NOT Atiku
It is not for nothing that I say Nigerians are as stubborn as the beans market goat (oluya bi eran iso eree).
We don't listen at all! Otherwise, why would we even be contemplating taking the country from a party (APC) that has been saddled with spending the past almost-four years in cleaning the Augean stables left by another party (PDP, that blew away 16 years), and return it to the same profligate, irresponsible PDP?
Unless we are truly suffering from collective amnesia!
Was it not yesterday that Boko Haram controlled about 13 local government areas in the northeast...flags, collecting taxes, installing chiefs, broadcasting news and all?
Was it not yesterday that the PDP government couldn't use the Eagle Square in Abuja out of fear that Boko Haram would strike there again?
Was it not yesterday that even those in Lagos lived under the palpable fear that Boko Haram was on its way to driving them into the lagoon?
Was it not yesterday that our soldiers were running out of bullets, water and food on the battlefield and dying by the dozens?
Was it not yesterday that the country was importing everything, including toothpicks...with virtually every FOREX-dependent industry folding up because PDP People were eating our FOREX?
Was it not yesterday that PDP folks were doing "round-tripping" with our oil and subsidy...collecting our crude oil, shipping it overseas for refining, diverting the refined product elsewhere, selling it and pocketing the money, then returning an empty ship to Nigeria and STILL claiming full reimbursement for the refined product that was never brought to Nigeria? (One ship was even in Argentina at the same time it was claimed to be delivering refined oil products in Nigeria!)
Wasn't it yesterday that a PDP President allowed funds (billion dollars) meant for the military to be generously spent by one Dasuki on prosecuting elections of its members?
Wasn't it yesterday that we had the likes of kleptomaniac Diezani Alison-Madueke, garrulous Femi Fani-Kayode, greedy and incompetent Stella Oduah, obese Alex Sabudu Badeh, thieving Azubuike Ihejirika and sly Sambo Dasuki butchering Nigeria to near-death?
Wasn't it yesterday that the PDP was borrowing money to pay Federal salaries even though crude oil was once sold at $140 under their 16-year lootocracy?
And wasn't it yesterday that we had VP Atiku undermining President Obasanjo and the government under which he was serving, surreptitiously recruiting PDP governors and lawmakers to antagonize and block the President and threaten him with impeachment simply because he couldn't control his vaulting ambition to rule?
Are these are where we want to return?
I can go on and on about the 16 years of PDP banditocracy and grand ineptitude. But I think you get the gist.
True, Buhari has been a disappointment in some areas. That's why some of us who campaigned hard for him in the past now criticize him. We want to make him better.
And I am all for replacing him now mainly because I think he doesn't have the energy anymore.
But I won't trade him and APC (despite their shortcomings) with Atiku and PDP. If we are crying, we don't allow ourselves to be blinded by tears.
Lailai!
Tufia!
Let Baba Obasanjo (whom I respect a lot) go and take some chill pills.
There must be consequences for ineffectual buffoonery. And it must include not returning PDP to power for a loooong time.

OK... At least you are now reasoning like a matured mind.
I beg to disagree agree with you that democracy is not about voting for the best candidate because nobody can be the best candidate to everybody. Democracy is the government of the people... Meaning it is not the best candidate that win, but the candidate that has the support of majority of the people. When buhari won election in 2015, he wasn't the best among all the candidates that contested in that election. Nigerians had other reasons for voting him, and being the best wasn't part of those reasons, after all, if Nigerians were seeing him as the best, he wouldn't have lost the previous 3 consecutive elections before 2015.
Talking about Moghalu, it is again wrong for you to claim that he is the best of all candidates. Like I earlier said, no candidate can be the best for everyone. Moghalu can be the best for you but not for the country. Those who are working for sowore will also claim he is the best, just like Nairaland zombies are claiming buhari is the best. If your father or uncle was in this race, you'll not be claiming Moghalu is the best. Even if you know that your relative contesting an election is not good enough, you'll still support him. This is why people say that politics is a game of interest. Your personal interest is Moghalu, but the collective interest of many Nigerians is Atiku. Whether you like him or not, the momentum is with him and you and I can't change that.
Claiming that buhari is better than Atiku just because you find Atiku's wealth questionable shows that you don't understand the principles of wealth and riches.
I want to believe that you like to read books, but why not read Rich Dad, Poor Dad; Cashflow Quadrants and a few other books from Robert Kiyosaki so that you'll understand that salary and stolen funds don't make people rich. It is your consistent investments that makes you rich.
Even if Atiku has ever stolen government funds, that's not why he's rich. Buhari also steals, but because he can't invest what he steals, he can't become rich. Atiku invests his money and manage his investments well, and that's why he's rich. This is even one of the reasons why Atiku can manage Nigerian economy better than buhari, because managing a country is not too different from managing your investments. Atiku with all his experience here is far better than buhari in this aspect. This is why I will cast my vote for Atiku.
