Ur quite right.I have memories of watching their Big wedding on Bisi Olatilo Show.All the who is who in Nigeria were present.It was a public show of wealth from both families.The artiste was one reigning R n b American artiste then called Joe.(more like the Chris Brown of that time.). This has always been a question in my mind-
WHY SHOULD WOMEN HAVE EXCLUSIVE CUSTODY OF THE CHILDREN THAT THEY EQUALLY MADE WITH THE HUSBAND?
ARE MEN SUPPOSED TO LOOSE OUT OF HAVING THE JOY OF CHILDREN WHEN A RELATIONSHIP GOES SOUTH EVEN WHEN HE WORKS HIS BUTT OF TO TAKE CARE OF HIS FAMILY?

This is a honest question to my mind, it seems to be unfair to MEN and personally, I feel it is unjust for a man to loose everything he has worked for including the joy of his children!
Personally, this is not acceptable to me. It should atleast be SHARED CUSTODY... Afterall, my waist, my sperm, money, provision and my protection of the children should not be in vain just because I can’t get along with a person that I genuinely loved and married!

shameful... what are their parents(babangida and indimi) doing about this? I think it is wicked of the judge to grant exclusive custody of 4 children to one parent. The children should not be made to suffer the stupidity of their parents.

My thoughts too exactly. Except the parents (famiies) have other deep rooted problems, I don't understand why thy have not intervened to Settle this out of court...or maybe they tried to but the children (as adults of their own) prefer to Settle in court.

Well for me it's not a dichotomy of original and "unoriginal". I see the ND as a geographical area. Its akin to saying that Kano State for example is part of the Sahara. It may be close to the Sahara but definitely NOT part of it. So I'm not counting out those states because of the oil-bearing status or not. I'm looking at the geography in making those statements.

Those of us from the "original" ND states that get discriminated based on whether oyel dey your village or not nko? We don't get bugged by those things mehn. We are focused on the more important things.
