Ekiti state workers are elated as they received first salary in the same month since the past 10 months.
Fayemi who promised to restore workers welfare in state has started walking his talks even within his first 14 days in office. Dr. John Kayode Fayemi also reiterated his plans to find solution to the arrears owe the workers by the out gone administration within his first 1 year in office.

Ekiti State workers have been collecting salary atleast every month in the last say 6-8months.
Fayose paid may salary for core civil servants and April for other in the subvented institutions, hence was owing 4-7 months as at when he left office.
What Fayemi did is just to skip June to September salaries and paid October, meaning Ekiti state government is still owing workers 4-7/8 months pay depening on the sector one is working in Ekiti state.
Stop peddling falsehood and misleading people who aren't on ground.
I am on ground in Ekiti and I am telling you the fact.
Workers are not even happy at this development because they don't know the fate of the outstanding salaries, and also the recent promotion exercise done by the Fayose administration wasn't also monetised as it didn't reflect in the October salary paid.
