I thought Atiku was the Vice President of Nigeria for 8years and was in the helm of affairs for 2years when OBJ. Was busy traveling Lila Ajala the traveler... my question is why didn’t he perform his magic .. he was busy buying anything buyable with our money... in Tinubu ‘s voice.. Atiku you can never be the president of Nigeria not in this life time . No more looting without work 3 Likes 1 Share |

Omeokachie: WE ALL WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN BUT NO BODY WANTS TO DIE!!! We all love Malaysia. We are breaking our necks and selling off our possessions to go there. We all admire her grass to grace story which pops up in all our narratives of what it takes to be successful and she has become a comparative model of developmental efforts and ideas in our every day discussions and arguments! Curiously, a 92 years old former leader Mahathir Mohamad, was elected to clear the corruption cesspool that the government of Najib Razak has become. While investigations are ongoing, he placed a travel ban on Najib Razak, his family and hundreds of associates and government officials. We all hailed him. But down here our own 75 years old PMB imposed a travel ban on mere 50 people with established corruption cases pending in courts, we are in an uproar and chanting dictatorship! We love China! We exult China as a model for every developing country! We get 80℅ of our imports from China. Recently, there is a massive surge in migrations to China for business, jobs, education, health care, shopping and tourism! Governments all over Africa are heavily dependent on Chinese finances, technology, and foreign direct investments! But China abhors corruption! In China, any involvement in embezzlement or bribery to the tune of $463,000{3 million Yuan} is punished with a death penalty. Curiously, in Nigeria, that is nothing! An ordinary director in the civil service can collect that from a contractor and put in his pocket. Here, 'stealing is not corruption' according to one of our former leaders who should have been executed by now were it China we extol everyday. Recently, Mike Ozekhome, the devil's advocate and Mr fix it with judges of looters in Nigeria said in a public broadcast watched by the whole world that 'recovery of stolen monies by government is not fighting corruption'. Yet, he is a SAN! We love Britain. Nigerians fill up Britain! Our diaspora weave all kinds of magic songs about the country and how Nigeria is a shithole. They say everything works there. But they talk little about their legal system and its abhorrence for illegality and corruption! Britain and many countries in Europe have 'Unexplained Wealth Orders' in place which mandates disclosures, uncovers illegally acquired property and assets by citizens and public officials as well as confiscates such until the determination of status by a competent court! Curiously, PMB's Executive Order 6, that serves similar purpose in this world wide clamp down on corruption has been challenged in court. After the court affirmed its legality, they conscienceless thieves and their moronic supporters have been shouting themselves hoarse with their unceasing cricket shrills of witch hunting! Yet, the same thieves opposing it are the ones promising you that they will turn Nigeria to London in one year! How sad? We love Saudi Arabia! Thousands of Nigerians visit the country yearly either for pilgrimages, business, jobs, tourism or health care! Hundreds of Nigerian doctors are working there and hundreds more migrate there yearly! We eulogize their development and orderliness. Saudi Arabia behead, cut limbs or lash publicly criminals and customary offenders in this 21st century without giving a single hoot about international and human rights outcry. Their Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, who recently assumed leadership, hounded all corrupt officials and businessmen into jail without trial and there forced all of them to vomit the money they stole before releasing them! Curiously, try any of those methods in Nigeria and hell will be let loose! In 2005, the FBI videotaped Mr. Jefferson, who was the congressman representing Louisiana, receiving $100,000 worth of $100 bills in a leather briefcase as part payment of a $500,000 bribe demanded by Atiku, who was vice president at the time, to facilitate the award of contracts to some two American telecommunication firms in Nigeria. Curiously, Mr Jefferson has since been disgraced out of office and cooling of in jail but our own Atiku is roaming free in Nigeria and been praised as an astute businessman who have what it takes to fix our country. Curiously, we still turn back to ask why we are where we are and why we have become a laughing stock even to our less endowed African neighbours! May Nigeria Succeed!!!Michael Ogueke 1 Like |

NonsoWow:now we are seeing it o.. We are seeing it but we refuse to believe and we bring out all sorta reasons to just make us comfortable... Notice what he said Dia.... He didn't say he will just come and reduce fuel price but said he has already worked out a siezling template to regulate the price... This is someone that has done his homework and waiting to put it into good use and yes he can do that because he has been in the system and he can make it work but we just adamant and stubborn and insensitive that he has another agenda... Yes even though if he has, he has shown that he can go a long way by already working out processes before he become president... When last did Buhari sit down and even think of a vision for this nation if not witch hunting in the form of corruption.... Please we are educated hia and it's high time we use that than allowing someone that can't find his GCE cert without any vision ruin us... Vision is key be it you have an agenda, without vision you can't attain anything 1 Like |
