Please house, I'm gathering my documents for ITA. And I read somewhere that since I was born in the '80s, I need attestation at the NPC. So here goes -

My mum swore an affidavit for me years ago attesting to my date of birth and all but she did that at a Customary Court registry. Is that acceptable at the NPC or do I have to get her to swear another one at the high court?

If yes, was what exact details must be in the affidavit and what is the process like at the NPC?

Anyone else with a contact who can help?

Are you claiming sibling points under FSW program? If yes, then i understand why you are going through this hassle. If not then pls there is no need for an attestation of birth from NPC.
Except maybe there's another reason you need the document e.g to obtain travel passport

Yes if your spouse does not already have a birth cert an attestation from NPC should do. And I THINK the affidavit from the customary court should do, u can check their web page or search this or related thread for info. Just type ATTESTATION OF BIRTH on d search tool and see what comes up.
A marriage certificate should work too if you spouse's sibling is married.

i tire, we are used to people caressing our egos when telling us the truth perhaps, it is culture somtin. Unfortunately not everyone can and would be subtle in telling you the truth. Thats what happened. They do not require nor request for Certificate of NECO or WAEC all they want is the direct one from WAEC or NECo.

Jusr relax when the original one gets there it would be sorted.
