bro chill where do you even see that manual labour... Out of the 2 month holiday one month is almost over before i could get something to do and at the end of the day i realized less than 40k still yet i spend part of it as upkeep during the holiday the money on my acct now is less than 25k and my rent will be due by january ending, i will be spending 100 naira everyday as transport (will still have to trek a long distance)... I woke up to check my portal and meet 23k as tuition plus faculty charges and minor charges its over 30k now tell me how you want me to cope? I have left where i am working so its too late to go back...i wouldn't mind if you help out though. .... There are many self sponsoring students who even find it difficult to pay the former fee now how do you expect them to pay with this?

If they're very comfortable spending less than 50kngn for the entire 4 years university tuition, then little wonder nobody takes them seriously. Now i understand why a graduate wouldn't mind settling for a 20k job.

The same students will spend close to that amount on internet subscription for nairaland and instagram.

It seems you don't know it would take the current annual school fees of 70 unilorin students to pay one professor's monthly salary. And 840 students annual school fees to pay one professors annual salary...

Inasmuch as we don't want govt to leave the poor behind, pls do not be ridiculous. Any school fee lesser than 30,000 is fair on the part of govt and the university.

The less than 30k you mentioned is what the poster used as an example... Some facaulties are to pay 60k plus,against less than 30k they paid previous year

The fees are actually low compared with what's obtainable in some other federal universities.

However an outright 100% increment seems insensitive especially when stakeholders aren't carried along.

That's just it... some facaulties fees was increased to almost 60k...Even the hostel, from 28k to 50k .a hostel that's in bad condition
