Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has been awarded the Best African Act of the year at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Tiwa Savage beat Fally Ipupa, Davido, Shekhinah, Distruction Boyz and Shekhinah to win the prestigious award at a ceremony held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre – Bilbao in Spain.

Sharing the photo below she wrote;

Almighty God, you ARE so faithful. My savage soldiers you did this for us. You’ve stuck with me through the roller coasters, THANK YOU
To my amazing team, this is just the beginning.
