I say Solanke stays to the end of the season. Master the high intensity system of Klopp and then leave at the start of the new season to a club he will get opportunity. From the look of it, he is not a Klopp kind of player but he can learn from the lessons which will make him a better player.
You still dey on this "wait and learn" stance? Lol.

His performance though is low and getting worrisome.

Of all his games I've watched at Udinese, he has been far from imposing.

He keeps getting yellow carded In almost all the games he has played so far.

Uzoho injury news is a big blow oo .. We now have to turn to Akpeyi and Ezenwa...Chai!!!

Bascovanveli, what's the probability that we can get Nana Bonsu to switch allegiance to Nigeria before the 17th grin

grin that would be one heck of a story if it happened. No idea how that works but we are talking about one of the few keepers with both NPFL and Aiteo cup in his trophy case. The man played the champions league on one leg just to help his club. Never been to Enugu but I am sure he is a legend there.

That said I also hope this opens the door for Theo because he has been solid for his whole career.

Unlikely

Akpeyi is not trusted,Ezenwa in not really active,Ndidi is ourtand our 2centrals defenders are not doing great in their respective clubs.

Rohr should overlook any assumed mistake of not inviting him initially ,if he proves himself in camp.

South Africa will take full advantage of the earlier mentioned ,so we need the present best keeper not track record keeper.

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Andy Townsend and former Manchester United star Owen Hargreaves have predicted that Nigerian midfielder Philip Billing will bid farewell to Huddersfield Town at the end of the 2018-19 season if they get relegated from the Premier League.

Billing, who was named The Terriers Player of the Month for September, was impressive in Monday night's hard fought 1-0 win against Fulham and came close to scoring his second of the season but smashed the bar with an incredible long-range strike in the 15th minute.

Reviewing the game, BT Sport pundits Townsend and Hargreaves agreed that the defensive midfielder will be the subject of interest from topflight clubs as he has had a descent season.

''Good player Phil Billing, he is the sort of player that if the worst happens to Huddersfield, someone might come and have a look at,'' Townsend stated.

Hargreaves added : ''Definitely, he is a really elegant classy player with big physical presence, descent in possession, he's definitely got something. I think he's going for it.''

The 22-year-old Billing was yellow carded in the closing minutes against Fulham - his fifth caution this season - and it means he will not be available for selection in Huddersfield Town's next game vs West Ham.

Promising Nigerian winger Joseph Hungbo has made a successful return from injury, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

In his first match of the season, the Crystal Palace U23 star took only seven minutes to double his team's advantage in a Professional Development League match with local rivals Millwall on Monday.

Introduced in the 83rd minute, Hungbo reacted first to a rebounded ball before firing home a low strike.

The 18-year-old did not feature for the Eagles in their first ten games of the season after suffering a shoulder injury in a pre-season friendly against Bostik League Premier Division side Kingstonian three months ago.

He penned his first professional contract with Crystal Palace a month before he suffered the long-term injury.

Last season, Hungbo captained the U18 team and tallied 18 goals from 37 appearances for the U18s and U23s.

The set-piece expert is expected to get more minutes when Crystal Palace U23s host Colchester United next Monday following a successful return to action.

UP BENDEL!!! The NPFL is back to the Ancient Kingdom of Benin!

RALPH OKHIRIA, Benin City

After dropping from the Nigerian elite soccer league, for over a decade, Bendel Insurance Football Club, Benin City on Monday, made a historic return to the Premier League with a 2-1 defeat of 3SC Football Club, Ibadan.

The highly anticipated make-or-mar encounter, between both teams, was concluded on Monday morning at the University of Benin Sports Complex, Benin City, Edo State, after a tension-soaked Sunday afternoon encounter that was postponed due to bad weather.

With the 2-1 win, the Edo Arsenal as Bendel Insurance are fondly called, has secured the 3 points it needed to top the NNL Table and book a place in the 2018/19 NPFL season.

Receiving the team at the Government House on Monday, a visibly-elated Governor Obaseki congratulated the management and players of Bendel Insurance Football Club for defeating 3SC FC of Ibadan to proceed to the Nigeria Premier League.

Obaseki said the victory was another fulfilment of his administration’s promise to Edo people and residents.

“My joy knows no bound because of what you have done today. I congratulate you and congratulate myself. I say this because it is another promise kept. We promised Edo people that we would bring Bendel Insurance to its lofty status which we all will be proud off and make sure they go on to play in the Premier league,” the governor said.

He described the Deputy Governor of the State, Hon. Philip Shaibu who led the team to his office as the father of the New Bendel Insurance FC and commended him for the giant strides he made in rebranding the club.

“We have built a team and have a machinery that will win the premier league, I am giving the club the sum of N25 million to show how grateful we are as a government,” Obaseki said.

Seems the defence to the goalie is having serious issues and I hope Rohr is doing something about it.

25milla? Which NPFL clubs would survive on such a sum?

I hear someone say that they are lucky and what else I'm I expecting. Lol.

I hope the Insurance is intact sha!

Leave that thing player Na player. How much did Kante and Mahrez cost Leicester? Peanuts but they are top players today

There is greater relevance when matters are taken in context.

Leicester city is not Liverpool.

Liverpool have the most expensive CB in the world, teams at this level have very little patience. They buy proven and tested top class players.

That N25M was just a gift for the team's return to the Premier league and not for OPEX. Which ever account it is coming from whether Obaseki's or state's na dem know.

That aside, I am a witness to the Rebranding of the Benin Arsenal Club by the Godwin Obaseki Government. Plus the Government is currently carrying out massive renovation work on the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium (Home venue of the Club). I do not know for exact the extent of work presently but I was pleased with what I saw 2 months back when I passed by the stadium. I just hope it will be ready before the next season kicks off.

Sky Sports pundit Tony Cascarino believes the duo of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not have long term future at Arsenal under Unai Emery but sees Nigeria international Alex Iwobi suiting the playing style of the new Gunners' head coach and deserves more playing opportunities.

Iwobi provided the assist for striker Alexandre Lacazette in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Saturday evening with eight minutes left in the game. He had replaced Mkhitaryan in the 68th minute.

Cascarino pointed to the seemingly lack of physical attributes of both players as to why they will not fit in to the Spaniard's style of football.

"Arsenal feel like a completely different club under Unai Emery and one of the main reasons for that is that the fans believe in the team now," Cascarino wrote in the Times.

"Under Emery, they have won more points from losing positions than any other team, so the fans stay with the players.

"But I cannot see how Emery can keep both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut özil in his team, given that power and tempo seem so important to the way he wants to play. Alex Iwobi has flourished under him and he deserves a starting place."

Iwobi is in line to feature for the Gunners when they take on Sporting CP in the Europa League on Thursday.

For me, Iwobi deserves cementing a place in Arsenal's first 11 either as an AM or a Winger. My worry still remains his shyness in front of goal. If Iwobi can start scoring goals in addition to his assists, he should be rubbing shoulders with likes of Edin Hazard by now.
