Thanks for your comment brother. It means I have to tighten my belt and be ready for the challenges i'll face studying at wollongong cos i've already made up my mind especially since they are one of very few unis in australia that offer the programme i'm going for.
Stubborn guy , u no won hear word, bro on a serious note , Wollongong is too far and isolated from the city, rent there is not cheap, even Newcastle is better than Wollongong since there are lots of disabilty jobs there , if you still insist on Wollongong then prepare to wake up by 4am everyday if you want to work in the city , all the best

There is no difference btw applying yourself andnyour agent applying on your behalf except he's a registered immigration agent with MARA.

I will apply myself if I were you.

edkai:

Please anybody with good info about the above issues should respond to it. It is very urgent.

Also, since I have gotten an admission offer, is there any need for an agent in applying for visa? My agent is demanding documents I can't provide and which I feel are not necessary. So i am planning to do the visa application myself. Any danger in this?

I don't see a problem in studying at Wollongong. He could live and work in Sydney while studying in Wollongong afterall it will be 2-4days of commuting. I know people who graduated from Newcastle Uni while living in Sydney and vice versa which is even farther than Wollongong Uni.

The paramount thing is getting into the country. He could alway transfer to a Uni in Sydney if he can't cope with traveling to Wollongong. He may also be fortunate to find a job in Wollongong. No two cases are the same.

Your best bet would be having the money in a joint account. Between is less than AUS$60,000 which is likely insufficient for your tuition accommodation and other up keep.
Again depending on the inflow and outflow of monies in your husband's account such money should be just fine.

I.e. If he has invested some money in a business or stock market and he's awaiting profit then NG15m should be just fine.

Stop deceiving people with that no two cases are the same stuff. First someone will go through the regular unboarding and change of environment stuff. If his course is an involving one he will not find it funny. But it's up to him. Changing uni stuff is not so pure these days. Its best to fix yourself from 9ja. Most people that survived UOW campus in wollongong and lives in sydney. Had spouse who provided the support.

Hi, fam,

Well, in my own opinion I believe you can study alone. Get the material, download videos from YouTube and take time to explore. I did the same when I wanted to sit for TOEFL. Thank God I excelled. I believe you can do the same. God help you.

Hi,

What is the toefl ideal score for australian universities?

Good day all,
Please gurus in the house I need help...
Please help a somebody.

I am looking for good schools in Australia with PhD programs in either public health, sociology or family sciences. That gives scholarship and has affordable tuition.

Public health area of specialization is Maternal and Child health or Health policy and management.
Sociology is around women and feminists movement in subsharan Africa.
Family Sciences area of interest is the African contemporary family in the 21st century amidst the challenge of traditional and cultural ideologies.

Please any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

You don't even know what he does for a living or the skills he possess. You are bent on telling him what you see from your perspective.

People's luck differ in Australia and Australia is a lucky country.

The problem with we Africans is we like to impose our ideas unto others.

When someone seek your opinion, you advise them and not advice as if they are your son or daughter.

You don't call people names just because they share their ideas or opinion that is respect and maturity.

Probe, reason with people, understand their needs and guide them through instead of castigate them.

We all came to Australia differently and we have also achieved things differently. When I was a student, and friends and I will commute to Sydney from Newcastle everyday for work which is little over 2hrs drive. Some decided to live in Sydney so as to drive up to Newcastle for study instead. Wollongong is even closer to Sydney than Newcastle and I know people are living and woking in Sydney while studying in Wollongong. It is doable whether you are single or married.

The pros and cons of Tasmania are these:

Pros:
Easy to gain admission into University

Accommodation, transport, food are cheaper over there

Eligible for state sponsored visa after your study

Less traffic

Loads of beautiful places to visit cum holiday.

Cons:
Hard to find a job as you habe to compete with people who have recently migrated there.

Can be very cold

My friend who has been in Australia for 6yrs is yet to secure his PR so he went there, found a job and how has an invitation for state sponsored visa. His eligibility came after living and working for 6months as the criteria changed at the end of the 3rd month it used to be.

So yeah finding a job can be difficult unless you don't mind working in the farms as there are heaps of farm work.

Like i said earlier if you are looking at getting into the country first then going there or to Northern territory are better options as the present government is happy for people to migrate there.

This is one of the biggest job sites in Australia have a peek and see if you qualify for the jobs listed therein.
