The OP is iPoB yoot, and he must be lying. Sai Baba is doing well. Even HSBC and UBS are leaving because Baba chased them out for kwarraption. These shows are means of kwarraption.

Una never see something, I am sure if Buhari stays longer than 2019 even the cinema halls will be empty, only suya spots go dey, kampe.

It is not as profitable as before considering the advent of social media. How many people sit to watch programs on TV but most are on social media. Instead of spending so much money on TV airtime, this money can achieve a better result with a targeted online campaign and marketing because everything still boys down to marketing.
Social media predated these programmes. Even if you put up an argument that the growth of social media adoption could have had a inversely proportional effect on their airing. What about BBNAIJA, can you remind me how many viewers tuned in? Social media doesn't supplant television programs, they work in synergy with social media promoting television programmes and television programmes giving social media content.

Most of these shows have stopped airing a long time ago.

GUS stopped since 2013
I don’t think Naija sings has held since the edition JON OGAH won (2013 thereabouts)
Peak talent show(though not listed) stopped since 2010
Project Fame? Well I don’t know wassup

One thing I know for sure, nothing lasts forever. I never expected these shows to go on for life. Soldier go soldier come. Reality shows would come and go. There was a time Big Brother stopped, now they’re back. Whether the economy is good or not, if you no get better sponsorships and blueprints, your show might not stand the test of time. Also, if show organizers mismanage funds, it’s certain the show is headed for doom.

In more laconic terms, there’s more to the stopping of these shows than meets the eye.

Jason555:
A Twitter user @IamKareemBerry, took to the platform to raise an alarm over some popular shows in Nigeria which stopped airing because of the economy.

According to the Twitter user, his tweet about popular shows in Nigeria which has been stopped is for those who think the economy is doing well.

He wrote; This is coming few days after President Buhari claimed that Nigeria’s economy is looking good. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while receiving the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Nigeria, Mr. Jesper Kamp, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Nigerian economy is looking good and we look forward to making it better,” the President told the Danish Ambassador after receiving his Letter of Credence.

This point of yours is somehow. Social media in the U. S is far more advanced than that in Nigeria but similar shows in the U. S are getting stronger every year.
