Congratulations to all PPR recipient, we are right behind you. I am here once again with my question (s). I'm trying to prepare all documents and cross check that everything is in place for this journey. Then a thought crossed my mind about my baby's birth certificate because i recall very well the day i filled the form and the lady who issued it told me to change the name I filled in to my husband's surname rather than using my maiden name where mother's name was requested so she changedbtge form for me. So my question is
1. Being that all my credentials has my maiden name and I do not plan to do a change of name will a there be a red flag if my child's birth certificate has my first name but last name is my husband's?

2. Should I process another birth certificate for mh baby and maintain my maiden name?

3. Process a change of name certificate for myself to clarify the two surnames?

Wow!!! Seniors in the house, kudos to you guys. This process is not easy ooo. Compiling documents and making sure there are no lose ends is not an easy something. May the Almighty see us through.

I have the exact same issue.

I was recuperating from surgery when my husband processed my daughter's birth certificate. They used his surname even when he told them im yet to change my name..every single document of mine is in my father's name. My plan is to leave it like that. I don't think it's a big deal

1. Pick up French
2. Get an extra certificate.
3. Sponsor your younger sibling to go first so he/she can give you 15pts.
4. Use your wife as PA if her points will be higher.

Please where can one learn French in Lagos? Any idea

I am In Lagos, i need someone that can assist, if you can share your contact. Of Course its ICES
Debsify:
Ok then I think it will be easier to reapply now, because you've gone through the process before; it'll also be cheaper. However you'll need to find out how much it cost to reapply for your transcript, and please use ICES in order to avoid WES wahala.

At all! he took advantage of my application stalling because it didn't include proof/receipt of online payment, which was my first contact's fault..they probably left my application then because of this.

God pass am. All is well that ends well sha.

You can get a new Birth Certificate from the NPC.
However, it will be marked as RE-ISSUE.
I did for my son because the one i did at birth got stained with a drink.
It was marked re - issued. I just stapled the two together.
He turned three last month.

Thank you. I will go there tomorrow

Afffidavit of change of name, Marriage certificate & LOE will take care of this issue. It is not a big deal. Most married ladies have same scenario.

Hello Everyone,
Ive been Following Low Key ...But Water con pass garri...
Just Entered Pool(Sept) With 437.... Wondering if the thing will go Lower ?
Any Advice on the next step will be appreciated.

What your highest qualification? If lesser than Master, you can upgrade'..do PGD or Masters
you speak French? If no, you can learn and do TEF
You got a sibling in Canny? if yes, you can get 15 points off him/her.
you married? spouse younger than 30? if yes, let him/her be the pry applicant and max IELTS.

Truth is that, CRS score might not come down lower than 440 this year. ain't being a naysayer but we can judge from the trend of previous draws.

12th May: AOR
24th May: IP1/ ADR (To upload the right ECA from IQAS). Contacted IQAS severally and finally on 25th of june, found out assessment done for me was Educational not immigration. Did same on the same date ( Iqas informed me it will take them 12 to 13 weeks to release new ECA) so the wait started and CIC kept sending me letters to submit or app will be rejected.
17th October: received ECA from IQAS n forwarded to CIC immediately.

PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited because I really wanted to announce ppr in this thread 5..it's been a long journey since I joined in thread 3...Back to the main gist;
Decision to travel: January 2018
IELTS (first Attempt) : LWSR-8|8.5|8|6.5 I requested a remark on writing and listening and my scores for both changed by .5 after 12 long weeks thanks to BC
Within this period ECA came through. I evaluated just my Masters degree.
ITA : May 23
Was heavily pregnant by this time so waited for baby's arrival before Applying.
AOR : July 7
Not sure when I passed medicals but was on IP1 till last week (29th October).
ADR: IMM5475 form ..completed and sent that back next day.
And then I woke up to the golden mail.
The wait is worth all the excitement.
Thank you thank you thank you to all my helpers here. Special thanks to those that gave their PPR stories..that kept me going. Good luck to those still in the race. We shall unite in canny land

Morning people.

I just realized that I will need WAEC/NECO if I need to upgrade my credentials to course-by-course for licensing purpose. Can I use WES USA course-by-course evaluation for this purpose in Canada?

I have both WAEC (Two sittings) and NECO (one sitting), which one should I evaluate because I don't know why SSCE is being requested for by WES?

I can easily get the WAEC sent to WES cos I have family members working there but not NECO.

I'm landing in Canada in few weeks' time and I want to get it sorted before I leave.

Kindly advise pls

Negotiate:

while you study for IELTS, why not kickstart your ECA at once? If you start now, your assessment could be ready by December.

I'll start working on that as soon as I sort out the funds, hopefully in the next couple of days. Thanks so much

Hmmmmmmm! So they went to cross-check what the applicant filled in his TRV application and the FSW own? Why didnt he/she maintain same employment history. Speechless.

They don't need to 'go and crosscheck' the information is right there on the GCMS system. That's how UCI, biometric information are simply retrieved. And then routine information sharing with the others e.g US to confirm responses to stat questions.

25th Jan? I feel like booking down medicals earliest date for family of 7 just for the fun of it. Because I'm sure that's what people are doing now.

Won't be surprised if agents have also started taking up slots so they can resell for a fee.

Oh! My daughter will be 3 next month. I guess an affidavit will suffice of the NPC waka fails

Until she's 18 or so NPC will issue or modify birth certificate.

I was issued a birth certificate when I was 9 or so. Got another one when I was 14 or 15.

I'm not saying it's right just exemplifying that there's no wahala involved. Just do the right thing by taking the old one so they can substitute the records rather than fresh registration. Otherwise your one daughter will be registered as two births...

Hi, I have seen the various responses on this issue, but i want to look at this from another angle. I will go with option 3 tho... Don't you plan to bear you hubby's name in future, and also have other babies, what name do you hope to have on your canadian passport when you eventually get there...am just looking at a case in future where your kids have to prove they have same mother and then the mothers name on their birth certificates are different, or there could be other cases...
I don't really know if am making sense, but i think you should do the publication now to clarify the surnames.

whenever she changes her name then she'll do an affidavit of name change and have that document then. If she has not changed name yet what's she clarifying about having different names? Anyway all options na option.
