Imho, you shouldn't have opened it in front of her or even to the point of telling her buyer/seller secrets. As long as it is not tampered with, you canjust step aside to open. The woman will do amebo for custom officers later now.
You can just record the package and then step back to open. If custom wants to catch you, you think they won't? They do random checking so yours escape just because you are lucky not that you are undervalued or smart. Payment for that item should not be more than 200 of truly toy. Anyway enjoy!

Please house I did make an order on AliExpress. After three days the seller didn't make any attempt to ship. I did message him that i would cancel order if he doesn't ship and he gave go ahead. I cancelled the order but AliExpress declined. What should I do? At the moment the order has been resumed with 4 days remaining to expire.

Probably the seller is not OK with the reason you gave for the cancellation

You must be thinking it was your 'smartness' that made you escape the customs duty problem.

In truth however, the charges are random and not based on any criteria.


I shipped 2 phones from the same supplier, same label on both packages, same everything except tracking number. One was charged and the other wasn't.. There was a period where a package that was tagged electronic device was charged and one marked clearly as mobile phone wasn't charged.

Maybe if you do more shipping, you would realize that escaping the customs duty fee this time wasn't as a result of your smartness.

same as mine also, same seller same description, reached naija around same time. One got charged one didn't. It's all luck not smartness

i got mine 60k on jumia through ifedith.its a good idea to use the price filters on jumia or it might also be the 6+128gb version which i guess goes for around that price
