Residents flee homes as Boko Haram attack village near Maiduguri

Scores of civilians are fleeing their homes as Boko Haram insurgents are currently attacking a community near Maiduguri, the state capital, a local source said.



Residents of Polo area and Giwa Barracks are running as a result of gunfire exchange near their area.



Ba’ Modu a residents of Polo told our reporter that there is confusion in Bala Shuwari about 2 kilometers away to the area as a result.



“We are running now, there is heavy gunfire going on at Bale Shuwari. As I am speaking to you, there is confusion everywhere, ” Modu told Daily Trust via Phone.

I call a soldier friend who confirm the attack, that they are in control. I blame the locals who aided boko haram during ihejirika time and almost rope the innocent man by accusing him of genocide. the sitting governor has to borrow idea from form Niger state governor on how he handle them in his state, it will do us all good. pls let's remember borno in our prayers I believe God in His infinite mercy we come to the rescue of the north east
