Greetings and salutations @LagosNIV

I secured an interview date for my mother at USELagos. However, I would be leaving the country back to the USA 5 days before this interview date.

Is it humanly possible for the embassy to please shift her interview day back 10 days so that I can be near her for emotional support?

Thank you.

Hi guys please I have a question. I intend immigrating to the States based on K1 Visa however I have an international job that warrants I travel often (once every two months).

Please I want to know how long it will take for me to be able to make short travels (1 week) out of the States once I enter with the country with a K1 Visa. Those travels are work related.

Hello Dear VO,

I lived in Hungary for 12 months hence I am required to submit a Police Certificate from the Hungarian Police in my visa application. I have actually gotten the Certificate but the submission of my application was delayed, hence the Police Certificate has expired (it was written on the certificate that its valid for 3 months).

My question: since I do not have the intention of traveling to Hungary again, will I be required to get a new Police Certificate?

Good Day... Post quote stated... If you have done a traditional marriage, you are already married under Nigerian law. That is what we have to go by. You can get the court documents... Please advice on what court document will be needed to prove divorce on traditional wedding.

Hello VO,

I am a US citizen and filing for my husband. We are currently at the NVC stage and awaiting a case complete for our CR1 Visa, our priority date is Dec 28 2017. We've submitted all our civil documents and awaiting acceptance, I have a few questions;

1. Are there still available interview dates for this year? I read somewhere on Visa Journey that all slots are filled up. We are interviewing at the Lagos Embassy

2. How soon can we receive an interview date once our case is completed at NVC?

3. Do we need to wait for directions from the Embassy before doing the medical or can we go ahead and get it done?

4. What are our chances of spending Christmas together in the US this year?

5. Can we choose an interview date or do we have to wait for the Embassy to choose one for us?

Thank you for your time

Dear Team,
I attended my CR1 interview on 15/10/2018,the consulate faulted the reference copy of my sponsor 2017 tax return,so I was asked to drop the official 2017 transcript or tax return from(I dropped the faxes copy from IRS) IRS at DHL ikoyi along with my international passport which I did submitted on 19/10/2018. My question is how long will I need to wait to hear back from them and will I need to attend another interview?

Thanks and God bless

Good evening LagosNIV, Please I'm just having headache over an issue. An invitation letter was sent to me by WorldBank to attend the youth summit this year by December 1st week but I tried checking the available dates within the month of November but couldn't even find anyone for this year. As in, this year is occupied and the summit is scheduled to hold by December. If I eventually book an appointment now, the available dates are within Feb-March and by then, the summit will be over.

I need to book an appointment by November to be able to attend.

Please does anyone know why i cant book a B1/B2 visa for Abuja. Whenever I try it keeps saying "you have exceeded the limit for viewing this page and your limit will be reset as of tomorrow". Also I noticed I can't see a "First Available Appointment" when its for Abuja but i can see same for Lagos.

Dear VO,
I am currently at the NVC stage with our 2children. However, my US citizen husband’s income is lower than the poverty guideline for a family of 4, i have a real estate in Nigeria and a savings accout in the US opened on previous visits.
Can i support our AOS with these assests? Is the real estate acceptable as “an asset i can turn to cash within a year”? Also is my US bank statement of account acceptable.

Thanks in anticipation

Hello carnal,

Your friend can travel to the U.S. as long as his visa does not expire before he reaches the port of entry. He will need to make an appointment for his father online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/.
