The very interesting situation is democrats trying to subvert the will of the people and steal elections in Florida, Arizona, Georgia and already stolen in Montana. The Democratic party is a party of immoral, dishonest, corrupt and criminal individuals. Shame on you all

Give it to him good. Most of the guys crying over the mid term elections have never step inside an aircraft in their life. You will think they will focus on the inept and corrupt leaders bankrupting Nigeria. What a misplaced priorities. Hopefully, when the minimum wage goes to N30.000 , they will be happy.

It's official now that Florida will have a recount on the Senate, Governorship and Agricultural Commisioner's elections because they are too close and several outstanding mail ballots still to be counted. That's according to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner who oversees the elections in the Sunshine State.

Gillum and Nelson may not win, but boy did they make Florida super competitive

Donald Trump is really going crazy regarding the recount.

He is currently going off on twitter with his usual Conspiracy theory.

Wonder what will happen if either Andrew Gillum OR Bill Nelson is declared winner after the recount...

Very interesting scenario playing out in my beloved sunshine state...

Rick Scott leads Bill Nelson by less than 15,000 votes OR less than 0.2% of the total votes.

There are currently about 24,000 outstanding Mail in Votes as well as Military Ballots in both Broward & Palm Beach County

Wouldn't suprise me if Bill Nelson inches above Rick Scott at the end of the tally given that both Broward & Palm Beach County are overwhelmingly Democrats...

Also keep in mind that this recount will be Machine Tabulated.

At the end of the count if the margin of victory is still within 0.25% then another recount is mandatory.

The Secretary of State will order a Manual Recount by actual Human Beings which should help to identify any vote discrepancies as well as Under Vote in both Broward & Palm Beach County...

Yes they surely did. All the votes including absentee and mail in ballots should count. That's the American way.

Someone on here already said the liberals are trying to rig the elections by stealing votes. Perhaps Trump would say Obama voted a few times too many.

I purposely laid out all the definitions...but the Context of Trump's claim was based on No 1 & 3 - love of Country. Put it this way, You have a family and therefore you prioritise their interest above others, not because you hate other families but because you place more value on your Own family, that's the concept. Same thing Trump is applying to America. Whatever you think of Nationalism, it's merits and Demerits, it's the best and there's nothing wrong in wanting your country to always come out on top in various aspect.

President Macron today 11th November 2018
With Trump seated before him, President Macron says, "Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism. Macron explained further "By saying 'our interests first and the others don't matter !'...we erase what a nation hold dearest...its moral values."

Love for or Devotion to one's country

2) Nationalism

When people accuse Trump of Nationalism, they mean an extreme form of patriotism marked by a feeling of superiority over other countries.

Can't say I can point to any evidence of extreme patriotism on Trumps part myself, despite his tariffs and wall, which may seem extreme to some. Time, I guess, will tell.

You think the minion could think rationally? You're wasting your time trying to explain reality to him. Those leftist echo chambers are quite comfy. Their brains have been programmed to filter out any information that might contradict whatever they have been fed by their slave masters especially in the media. That's why we call them NPCs.

What a babel! Patriotism is the brain child of Nationalism. I guess Macron or manhood don't know that becausr he wasn't around when the founding fathers of different nations erected their national foundation and identity on the solid rocks of nationalistic ideas, which defines patriotism. It is even more pathetic to know that he doesn't understand the meanings of the two terms: patriotism and nationalism, yet he is the leader of a country. So trying to prevent illegals from entry your country illegally is extreme patriotism? It is on this thread I also learnt that when a president shake the hands of another president, he is legitimizing the actions of that president. It is now I believe that TDS is REAL!

In U.S. usage nationalism is now perhaps most frequently associated with white nationalism, and has considerably negative connotations.

Hitler was a nationalist too albeit a national socialist but all the same a nationalist. The word has a very negative connotation in the Western world so stop exposing your ignorance any further.

Patriotism & nationalism overlap greatly as political ideas arising from love of country. They both compliment each other and neither are enemies to themselves. Only globalists try to hand-twist it to make it look bad. Almost every country in the world is formed by Nationalism and preserved by Patriotism.

....for those Trump's fans who are interested in a piece of history:

there's an advert that's been showing on Fox.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9qv8RSreIM

A bombastic, over-the-top commercial has left some TV viewers and internet users baffled by the authenticity of Trumpy Bear, a 22-inch stuffed animal with a striking resemblance to the 45th President of the United States.

The product consists of the 22-inch tall stuffed animal and a 28-by-30-inch American flag blanket that can be stored in a zipped pouch inside Trumpy Bear himself, according to the product web site. Trumpy Bear costs $39.90, which can be paid in two installments of $19.95.

Egocentricity is indeed a huge mental disease. You have world leaders, writers, scientists and intellectuals define the difference between nationalism and patriotism, citing the dangers of nationalism, and someone who has no achievement in his life will term them ignorant. Are you even qualified to wipe the ground Macron walks on?

Here are other definition of Nationalism by other intellectual greats;
“Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism. Both words are normally used in so vague a way that any definition is liable to be challenged, but one must draw a distinction between them, since two different and even opposing ideas are involved. By ‘patriotism’ I mean devotion to a particular place and a particular way of life, which one believes to be the best in the world but has no wish to force on other people. Patriotism is of its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseparable from the desire for power. The abiding purpose of every nationalist is to secure more power and more prestige, not for himself but for the nation or other unit in which he has chosen to sink his own individuality.”
― George Orwell

even Merriam-Webster dictionary quoted by obixcel makes a distinction between Patriotism and Nationalism;

These two words may have shared a distinct sense in the 19th century, but they appear to have grown apart since. Or rather, it would be more accurate to say that only nationalism has grown apart, since the meaning of patriotism has remained largely unchanged. There are still obvious areas of overlap: we define patriotism as “love for or devotion to one’s country” and nationalism in part as “loyalty and devotion to a nation.” But the definition of nationalism also includes “exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups.” This exclusionary aspect is not shared by patriotism. -https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/patriotism-vs-nationalism

Trump himself acknowledged the negative connotation of the word nationalism when he described himself as a nationalist;

"You know, they have a word. It sort of became old-fashioned. It’s called a nationalist," he continued. "And I say, 'Really, we’re not supposed to use that word? ' You know what I am? I'm a nationalist. ... Use that word."

I understand that IPOB are Nationalists, that is why hatred of others take precedence to love of themselves.
