Nah except you are charged by customs. What NIPOST will charge you is the normal handling charge.

Customs just charged #7,200 for the redmi 5 plus I ordered for a friend. Phone we ordered for 48k embarassed . Is there anyway we can tackle them at the post office? That amount is just outrageous

Sorry.

Jumia actually has it with free shipping that can even be delivered in 24 hours. Others shouldn't risk it biko.

how do customs charge a package? do they run a check on it to know d value? or do they charge randomly? cause i dont want 2 imagine a scenario wherein a sub-30k device will b charged d same amount as a 60k device

They are mad. That 7200 is 15%

You dont need an engineer to do that....you just need to read the guide and understand, then apply.

I only used the device for about 48hrs before updating to miui 10, so I can't give a reliable analysis on the 9.
However, if truly mobile signal affects battery performance as some of the guys stated on previous pages, then I'd say there's definitely been an improvement in that regard 'cos my signal is still fluctuating.

Everything else seems pretty the same to me.
Alright then. Thanks

Budget N4,125 worst comes to worst.

But that Umidigi might not carry custom duties coz its under $100
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by queenfav(f): 2:00pm On Nov 13, 2018
This custom duties payment, i feel its reduced with Hong Kong Goldway store on aliexpress. I read all the reviews of Nigerians that have ordered different phones from them at different times, I didn't see any Nigerian complaining about paying custom duties. Even among those that ordered recently. They declare very low amount for the phones.

Wow!!! Xiaomi family, welcome your new member.
I unbox my redmi 5 plus yesterday. Special thanks to Ifedith...He is really a credible seller.I vouch for him 98%.
Smiles

So, elders in the house, tell me the do's and don't relating to Xiaomi redmi 5plus. Also, I can see that my android version is 7.+ and not 8.0
Besides, I am a huge fan of portrait mode and I need help in relation to that.

Wawu! The best is just to buy from Nairaland Vendors finally. Customs this period isn't smiling. My goods are with them, even after paying the N163700 bill, they haven't released it to my agent yet.God will help us in Nigeria. The best is to import all u need before November /December.
