The fact that Osinbajo is from the SW and Obi is from the SE will play a major part in how the SW votes. IPOB, with ungaurded hate messages against the Yorubas, has permanently damaged the goodwill many SW folks have for the Igbos. I can only imagine the reaction to Kanu's hate speech, which will be linked to Obi, once campaign starts. An example is when Kanu said "if a Yoruba man and a snake are in a room, kill the Yoruba man first". Not many Yorubas will hear that and vote for Obi who is seen as the political extension of IPOB.

It will be easy, once campaign begins, to show Obi is an IPOB sympathiser and ethnic bigot who once implored Igbos not to "vote for the Yoruba party" when it was his fellow Igbo ,Ngige, running on the platform of the ACN.

I personally don't think many in the SW will vote Atiku (looter supreme general) and Obi (proven Yoruba hater and all round bigot) in place of PMB (friend of SW who has brought them back to relevance after GEJ sidelined the region) and Osinbajo a son of the soil who may become President in 4 years or at least make it possible for another Yoruba like Fashola to reach that height. Political analysis is not difficult for those who think without hate/sentiments and accept the reality on the ground. We must remember that self-interest is still a big factor in how Nigerians think and vote.

I was replying his earlier post which he said English is not his mother tongue but someone reminded him about how he abuse Atiku english. its a clear evidence that he is an hypocrite.

I think Yorubas on Nairaland are different from the ones I interact with in real world.
Majority of my colleagues here are Yorubas and almost all are against reelecting Buhari.
So please try something else, ethnic division won't work this time. This election is issue based. Thank you.

DM and I will invite you to my workplace which has a majority of Yoruba workers and they are all against reelecting Buhari.
