Good Day,
I should be driving from Onitsha to Calabar in two weeks time. Please which of these routes is the best considering road condition and less cumbersome:
1. Onitsha-Owerri-Aba-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar

2. Onitsha-Owerri-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar

3. Onitsha-Ihiala-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar

4. Onitsha-Enugu-Afikpo-Ugep-Calabar

The road seems to be smoother and better than the other sides of the road.
More so, to me it is shorter.

The 3rd route is best. Faster and better road condition than other options, especially now that Ikwuano road has been fixed as well as Itu-Calabar road is also better.

1. Onitsha-Owerri-Aba-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar: Aba Ikot Ekpene road is very very bad, motorist now use an alternative route via Itungwa....more travel time.

2. Onitsha-Owerri-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar- Onitsha to Owerri to Umuahia makes the journey longer....Owerri traffic.

3. Onitsha-Ihiala-Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene-Calabar- faster and better road condition than other options. Most motorists use here....ABC/God is Good/Abia Line etc

4. Onitsha-Enugu-Afikpo-Ugep-Calabar- Not an option.

Thanks all. I followed option 3 to and fro. It was a cool ride until I got to ihiala orlu axis then to ikwuano. Thank God it's dry season else it would have been terrible. Since it's election period, there are more campaign posters and bill boards than emphasis on good roads. If only all these politicians can close ranks and focus on our roads. I appreciate God for journey Mercies.
