That our coach no dey try at all. He doesn't know how to substitute. How come he substitute at 90mins when match don almost end? He cldnt even put the lastest Villa real striker. He just bench the guy. the coach no dey try at all. He doesn't give other players changes to express their skills.

As far I am concerned, Naija won this match 3-1. Smh.
I think South Africa are becoming chief experts in football robbery.

The obviously robbed us today just the same way they did to Senegal and FIFA had to oder the replay of that match.

Less impressed!!

Am not understanding why everyone is blaming gernot rohr, he is the best coach we can have at the moment and he is doing a very nice job I must say. He took us to 2018 world cup and now Afcon which hopefully we will win because the only opposition we should avoid in cameroon is egypt.

Rohr is tactically blind i agree but no coach would have taken the risk to start that villareal guy or success in a match like this, I watched the match and i must say we need to step up our game before next year june.

This match also showed that Mikel and Ighalo are still needed in the team and we also need a sharp replacement for victor moses as i haven't seen any, that kanu guy is not a baller.

See you in Cameroon

You 'scored' against the run of play. South Africans deserve the win, they are more cohesive, fighting for the ball and giving proper decisive passes, they hardly lose possession. They just don't have dangermen and finishers.

Nigeria deserved to lose this match. If Iheanachor the waste pipe goes to cameroun in 2019, he will be a big embarrasment. He shouldnt be getting call ups anymore when we have better players like Paul Onuachu.

Hey man. Goals are what wins Games. Because you play better, passed better, tackled better does not mean you are supposed to win. If you dont score, you lose.

uhm as much as I am optimist, we have to admit this SE still has a long way to go. i'll give u reasons:

1. the midfield couldn't control the game, the effect that the likes of mikel, jayjay, ndidi has; to hold the ball and let players move into channels, ogu cannot, etebo is a runner, iwobi is ur diagonal and thru pass outlet. we need our pirlo.

2. Nacho cannot lead the lines for SE unless we learn to dominate and control the pace of the game. he needs to hold off defenders and shield the ball while wingers and iwobi joins in attack.

3. the defenders needs to learn to play ball and not gift possession to opponents. they also have to learn to track run from the deep.

to be continued
in summary, d game was fixed for draw. Little wonder they played anyhow dat even SA who need pts were playing as though na dem want draw

Remember the days when we used to play 'the hopeful long ball'. (Between 2007-2014)
Things have changed a lot since then. Then we hardly got goals away (be it Morocco or Mozambique) let alone win away.

My only problem with Rohr is that he doesn't seem to change or adapt his tactics to the current matchplay.

It was way before 2007 when the likes of Oliseh in defensive midfield would play a long ball and it would get to the man he wanted it to get to. Then we had Okocha who would curve the ball and the ball would go where he wanted it to go. Since Oliseh retired, we have not had a sure replacement.

Nawa for this linesman o....

Thank GOD say we no lose the game. He would have been ban for life for that terrible offside call....

But on a personal level am angry we didn't win cos we didn't punish them for they did to us back in Nigeria.

We did, atleast we qualified. Leaving the South Africans at risk to fight for their own qualification

A very good point man this Onachu guy. He will be a very good tactical option. Just imagine Musa and Kalu delivering crosses to him against SA today.

he even wasted the match, he played for just a point. No urgency, players even tried to waste time.

bros the argument and point here is we are not playing well, Argentina has no reason drawing with ice land and they only won us due to tactical error of rohr. If they played well the only team they shud draw with is Croatia. Do u expect man city to lose to fullham? Answer is no. There are expectation for teams that's bcus every team has a standard. If we shud go by ur excuse then we shouldn't be complaining abt Man U performance this season, after all in ur words football no be 1+1 lolzz

Playing well or not... football is not mathematics, last season mancity played very well in that game but were still bundled out of the FA cup by a championship/div1 side... we can only guess what should happen but football is quiteUNPREDICTABLE.

If it was fixed, how would it have benefited both teams as South Africa needed it more?

Hoping we will meet this average south African team that can't beat a team without its captain, the best DMF in Africa, first choice goal-keeper and their top 9 when needed most in the nations cup.

You've said it all. It's the goals that count. True, SA dominated (they were at home btw) but they didn't really have much chances on goal.
Not counting the disllowed goals, we had Omeruo's miss, Ogu's header that was cleared off the line, Ekong's miss and of course, Ịheanachọ's masterclass. grin
They were all good scoring chances.

What I don't understand though, is why SA played this game like they've already qualified.

No $25000 for the super eagles. Since they did not score any goal. The $25000 should be given to the own goal scorer
