they're reasonably effective in this, tho the charge looks bloated to me but if the phone/the scenerio that saw the phone gone worths it, it's not bad. kiss

you'll need the retail box of the phone. Take it to the nearest police station and request tracking.
Or if you use a private tracker. kiss

As far as its going to come in through the postal system, it must be checked by customs and if they deem it fit to, they will charge a duty on it. undecided

Let her buy a powder or cosmetic container that is metallic. Empty the contents and put the phone inside there. Then buy a pack of aluminium foil (that is used in making duplicate receipts) and wrap the package as thick as possible before inserting inside an envelope & posting it as Registered Mail with tracking number via post office.
Don't use courier or express please.

Things don too expensive oh! AAndn I thought DSLRs weren't that expensive

a good dslr camera is this --- https://www.amazon.com/Canon-75-300mm-9320A023-DigitalAndMore-Microfiber/dp/B07CGMZ9QL/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1542527781&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=rebel+camera&psc=1

budget as from 100k for a complete dslr camera with extra tephoto zoom lense.
that bad boy over there is among the kings of budget full package dslr cameras.

again by your budget i can deduce u hvnt differentiated between point n shoot and dslr cammeras

They have a very modern scanner they use in scanning packages. You sure say this method no go cast by the time they scan the package?

Custom fee is not supposed to be charged if item is declared as a gift. But then most couriers don't offer insurance for gift items. Which means if the package goes missing while being declared as a gift, OYO will be your case.
On the other hand if it's just sent without stating it's a gift, you stand 50/50 chance of paying custom duty or not.

And you think they don't have scanners to detect such packages? Do this and customs duty will be the least of your problems. Am sure NDLEA & Anti-smuggling unit of Customs will be waiting to pick him up too
