The thread is damn inspiring!!!

I made mine when I was 18 managing the family hospitality business. I reluctantly wrote JAMB that year as I didn't see the point going to the university. Later, I invested the profits into the business (expansion here and there) and landed properties while also changing the school my sister went to.

Astonishingly, I've almost lost the zeal for entrepreneurship due to the high cost of running a business in the country but this thread has somewhat rekindled it. Currently, my love for corporate Nigeria no get part 2.

There's money to be made in Nigeria oh and to think I insulted her the other day? cry

Am not really happy though ...have made millions and my first money 800k when I just gained admission in oau and right now am in my level 2 ..since my two years studying in school although i don't go for lectures or concentrate on my studies ...my story is have made so much money and my account statement is closing in on 21 million naira this November ...am only 23 years old and right now am thinking of dropping out cause I hardly go for lectures ..am in local govern departments ..not a serious course though but related to politics..I have a car worth 3 million and landed property worth 6million thinking of owining a hostel by God grace..right now am not really happy and am touched by you guys that rose from grass to grace to hustle with legit hustles ..but everyone has a story to tell ..have suffered and hustled all my life in car wash ,caterering,working for ungrateful people that will push you to deaths because you don't have money ..have seen good things and I go from my school mates when they see me hustle in car wash in street ...I made a decision one day to stop and go into YAHOO YAHOO...my story is I feel guilty sometimes and I wish to stop but I can't cause the day I will I might go back to working as a car washer..am praying everyday that GOD change my ways and right now am going more deeper in this hustle and am scared it might hurt me cause I never wanted to go this way and I always ask God why he no make my parents be billionaires ..I still ask myself WHY ME..just realize life is all about sacrifice ..make a open way for your future generations ..pray God save my soul and give me grace in this sinful world ..no joy in stealing from others..

My brother the journey of a mile starts with a step,the very reason that ur conscience still prick u,is a sign that God is still interested in ur life,Just quite and watch God act,it may not be easy in the beginning but d end will be sweet.But if u choose to continue,well remember that nothing last forever and surely u will die and leave the wealth behind for some one who doesn't even have idea on how u suffered to get d wealth to come and enjoy,afterwards u will face d judgement throne of God.God still loves u,just quit bro,and watch God bless u genuinely

At 24 through salary, just a few months after I started working.

Since then I've made and lost millions trying to grow wealth. Bought land, shares and last year, crypto. Also ventured into several online investments where I gained and lost as well.
If only I had clairvoyant abilities and know when to cash out. Recently lost 4m to crypto and I'm selling what's left .
Looking for new investment ideas.

Right now, I have earned more than $17, 000 through fiverr. Although I only have close to 4m in savings.

I don't even know what to do with the money.

Just dumping it in treasury bills until I have a reasonable business to do.

Inspiring thread I must say.

I read all through the pages, but can anyone help me and suggest what I can start doing as part time job(preferably online), offline too is good.

PS: I'm an architecture student 300lvl. I've knowledge in handling 3d softwares and 2d software Like Sketch up, vray, AutoCAD. And I also know Corel draw.

I somehow feel the knowledge isn't enough since the jobs are coming through. So someone who can mentor or tutor me should please quote me.

I made my first million in 2009 as PTDF scholar in UK. I was being paid £500 every month by PTDF plus the initial £2000 given to me before departure. Not millions in pounds but when I converted as I was transferring my earnings to my Nigeria bank account

I practically didn't touch the money as I was also working as a cleaner in a hospital, earning £6 per hour. I worked 4 hours a day and unlimited hours during summer. So, I had sufficient money to cater for my needs.

I also did a care giver job at old people's home, cleaning their poo and bathing them at a rate of £8.5 per hour and was fed with all sorts of foods , cakes ice-cream, fruits and juices. I saved quite a lot before returning back to my beloved Naija

THE QUESTION IS: WHY DID YOU RETURN BACK BRO?

Haven't made up to 200k before ( just finished school and waiting for service).
My problem is, I just focus majorly on my skill (graphix design, web design and programming) which fetches small change rather than looking at the big picture.
My dad is an importer (imports second-hand TVs, laptop, fridges, clothes(okirika) and also groundnut oil and tomato straight from UK) but I dont know why I hardly put interest in that aspect. Maybe I not that business minded individual.

Please who knows how to do these importation business (majorly online) please, I'd like to gain mastery of it because no more pocket money henceforth, the real world has begun.

it was in 2003 and I was 28 then,a family friend and big poultry farmer eagle foods big ltd came one day and said I should drive him to Ibadan,I drove him from anambra state to Ibadan,we stayed one week with zartech hatcheries, we visited many farms and it was am eye opening experience, we went to moor plantation farms and the manager was begging us to bring customers from the east to buy off their pig weaners and the price is #2,000 per one,I came back borrowed from my mum and added my own,I went back bought 100 pieces and paid #40,000 for a bus that brought it home,as we have already pig pen,I reared it for 6 months and one buyer came and cleared it #15.000 each ,total #1,500,000,I was in fed college of agric,ishiagu then,I rush Lagos collect ash Honda baby boy with a/c for flexing,hahaaa!those days.

I've patiently followed this tread and I must say this is one of the most interesting and inspiring tread on Nairaland.

I almost made my first million at the age of 28 through series of businesses, such as excellent website development, consulting for enterprise developer and running a clothing line.

My finance nose dive base on sheer stupidity in disguise as generosity. I was trying to make money so I can be a blessing to the people around me and help young folks like me establish themselves early in life.

I invested into a wrong dude who lack basic understanding of integrity and in no time my money was history. I also invested into cryptocutrency and the January 2018 bearish flow hit me hard.

But as a soldier I'll keep pressing and in no time I'm bouncing back by leveraging on my skills and knowledge.

I'm currently working on an agro-project that specialises in convertion of cassava Peel/waste into healthy livestock feed, this will make me a billionaire in 5-10 years time. Interested partners or investors can contact me at zoeinnovationxatgmaildotcom

Am in my early 30's, made over 3.5m this year alone after a long time,but currently with less than 500k. I lost 1.8m to a business gone bad,another 1m to a business that has not made profit yet.

I made my first 5m @26 but didn't really invest well though. I have been struggling ever since to break the 1m mark but to no avail. I made it this year though I lost substantial part of it. But am happy that I passed the 1m mark hitting above 3m.

I have gone back to basics to start afresh for a target of 5m by this time next year all by his Grace.See you all at the top.
