Nigeria winger, Ahmed Musa, says he has forgiven Gambian referee, Bakary Gassama after his errors cost the Super Eagles two goals, and a win in last Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Gassama and his assistants chalked off two Nigeria goals for offside but replays showed otherwise.

The referee, however, apologised to Musa and Nigeria for the mistakes and the forward has waved off the incidents, stressing that their qualification for AFCON has made up for the unpopular decisions.
“I will say that it was good that he realized his mistakes and apologized for his action and it is past tense for me,” Musa told reporters in Asaba ahead of the Super Eagles’ friendly encounter against the Cranes of Uganda.
“The major thing is that we have qualified for Afcon for the first time since 2013 and we are delighted about that. I don’t see any big deal about that because our emphasis was on playing at the Africa Cup of Nations and now that we have qualified, we are relieved.
“I am not worried that I was not able to score because we didn’t lose and we have got our heart desires with the ticket to Cameroon. We know that it is time now for serious preparations and that is what we are after now

But the Everton man has been the subject of concerted interest from Nigeria

Ademola Lookman has pledged his future to England after holding face-to-face talks with Under-21 head coach Aidy Boothroyd over persistent stories linking him to Nigeria.


The Everton winger was part of the Under-20 squad that won the World Cup in 2017 and he will have a significant role to play for the Under-21s next summer in Italy, as they bid to build on their promise and win Euro 2019.

However, Lookman has been the subject of concerted interest from Nigeria, whose manager Gernot Rohr is preparing for next summer's Africa Cup of Nations and said three weeks ago that he 'wanted to change his mind so he can play for us as he will add something to our team

The Football Association have been aware of Nigeria's interest in him for some time but Boothroyd spoke with Lookman, 21, at St George's Park last week and has been assured that he is committed to representing England.

'Every time I see him I have a little joke with him about it,' said Boothroyd, whose side face Denmark in a friendly on Tuesday evening. 'I say: "Why would you want to leave us?"

'But he's very focused on England – that's what he tells me. He says he wants to play international football for England.'

Lookman has endured a difficult year. His heart was set on a move to Germany to join RB Leipzig but Everton refused to do business and he found himself out of Marco Silva's team, but the last month has seen an upturn in his form.

'He's had a tough time of it, but he's been better recently,' said Boothroyd. 'He got himself into a state over summer when he didn't know where he would be playing or if he would be moving or not. Now he has just got his head around the fact that wherever it is he is playing, he has to play well.

'He has told himself "I just have to focus on me" which is right. When you look at Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tammy Abraham, Reiss Nelson, Ryan Sessegnon and Ademola, we have some real attacking talent.'

Oyenkuru should have started the Match instead of Musa for God's sake! How does Rohr want him to feel?! That he's not trusted enough?! If Chuks can make the Team and Onyekuru can't make it - for a Friendly Match, then it's apparent Rohr doesn't rate him.

I was hoping to see him and Chuks on the Flanks, slaughtering anyone on their way with their mesmerizing Skills, but Rohr has denied me why Hope!
