Hybrid Layer Mash And Possible Drop In Egg Production???? by obstead200(m): 6:13pm On Nov 20, 2018
Pls who is using hybrid layer mash? Are u experiencing drop in egg production? My production is dropping drastically and feelers I'm getting indicates that the situation is peculiar to those using hybrid feed. I want to know if there are other hybrid feed users experiencing drop. I switched to hybrid about 2 or 3 months ago.

NB: I have treated them with antibiotics, believing they had bacterial infections. Routine vaccination and deworming is also observed. I use battery cage system. The birds are just about a year into laying.

Maybe u should try mix with another feed for some time, then note your observations. most feed induced (nutrition) palaver don't cause mortality... I would relay that info to their distributor here, but where is your farm sited

Am in Abeokuta!
Thanks for that! Pls try mix with other products for sometime and study d difference, if any.
If none, they maybe affected by similar factors: heat! Heat denatures amino acids (which are also present in feed) and considering the way our poultry feeds are transported, they encounter alot of heat especially with this sun.
For that you may need to add methionine and lysine which are major for production.
I pray mixture with other feed improves your productivity
