Tiwa Savage , has stunned many of her fans after revealing that she sometimes feels depressed by low self-esteem.

The Mavin queen, also revealed that she only looks beautiful by the help of make-ups and push-up bras. Stating that sometimes she is intimidated by the glamour on social media.

“I get a lot of messages from young girls who are depressed with low self-esteem because they don’t feel pretty like the social media girls they see every day and my heart breaks because I feel like that too sometimes.

“We are all in this together, I’m not perfect, and not the prettiest, sexiest, richest but I’ll remain kind and seek after God’s heart because none of the others matters to Him.

“Ultimately God’s approval is all we need”, she said.
She added that contrary to public belief, she hardly sees herself as a pretty woman.

“Some people are born beautiful, flawless skin, long curly hair, fair skin but some of us grew up looking at the world’s definition of beauty and found ourselves not fitting into that standard but with the help of makeup, filters and push up bras we feel a little closer.

“What happens when you take all that off and you stare at yourself in the mirror, do you still think you are beautiful?
“You should because you are and when we meet our creator face to face it’s those with the kindest hearts that will stand as most beautiful.
“So while we work on the outside make sure we work on our hearts.”

All boils down to low self esteem and the crave to impress men or intimidate their mates..... A lot Nigerian girls are not happy with their look and hence 90% will do cosmetic surgery if they have the money.... Believe me all these girls that are castigating those that did cosmetic surgery are hypocrites. Deep inside they are not contended with how God created them...

Deep within the feminist movement lies the real cause of their struggle: inferiority complex and a lack of self esteeem.
Men are told to gain confidence when it actually is a ubiquitous trait amongst males.
I have learned [unfortunately with time] that a man who stays at home unaccomplished and smokes weed all day most times possesses more confidence than a female CEO of a world leading-organization.
I guess it has to do with our hunter beginnings: to slay a 5 ton mammoth an individual requires an earth-shattering amount of self-belief. I don’t remember cave women being painted on walls for their success in hunting wild game.
Tiwa’s confidence issue is nothing new. I realized it many years ago when following her Twitter account.
T-Billz was instrumental in building both her career and public persona. Without him she’ll obviously crumble back to Tiwatope [insert Afonja surname here], the girl from around the way.

I commend tiwa for being honest about her self esteem issues. The fact is we all have our demons and lack of self esteem/doubt issues. I am a man and I battle that daily, and I have been able to live life to the fullest not minding what anybody says. Like they say, life na per head. What really matters in life is family and loved ones. Other than that, nobody cares.

Big ups to tiwa for being courageous enough to admit her inadequacies.

Kudos toTiwa for this sincere disclosure, not everyone has got the courage to come out in the open to discuss their behind-the-scenes battles, this would help many of our ladies fighting the same battle to accept themselves just the way they are. They don't need anybody's validation to be termed 'beautiful'. True beauty lies within, deep down within you.
