Are people really this stupidhuh
So u mean America was like Nigeria when they were at our age?? So what about South Africa, Angola, North Korea? You obviously have never left Nigeria before so you have no idea, I mean no clue of what he's talking about.. First class ignorance..
i normarly don't engage peasants in a discourse but I'll have to bend this rule for today since it might help to eradicate part of your raving stupidity starting with your examples;
1)South Africa
Built by the whites(British,Dutch) up until 1994 when they got their independence.
Who knows what our country could have been like if we had the whites here dor that longhuh
2)Angola;a well known one city country(Luanda) with huge slums and shanties within a 30 minutes drive away from the city centre is what tou are likening Nigeria to?pathetic
3)North korea?lipsealed
America(USA);a well known country built on free labour and imported expertise(British invasion) is what your deficient brain feels like comparing it to Nigeria.
Do you know how much labour cost?do you know where we would be if we had free workers?
Before America(USA) became independent,do tou know how much input Europeans had invested in the land?i guess not because frogs like you don't reason.

They have machines for everything such they can produce anything in large quantities and quickly too.

Just one simple policy of removing import duties for "production machines and health care equipment" for the next 8 years will create massive employment for millions of Nigerians because small business owners and medium scale manufacturers can up their game.

I have a south african friend who told me there is no import duty for Agriculture equipment in his country.

2. Stable banking system where the banks are healthy enough to loan to the real sector and so citizens can borrow to build their own houses or buy flats in a residential estate.

3. Removing import duties on equipment designed for manufacturing, cultivating crops, building houses and roads for a certain period.

4. Have a solid tranport system..( Road, Rail, and Air and water)...for the safe ease and quick movement of goods...a good road into a deserted area opens up that area for reaidential and commercial activity

5. Transperent judicial system where justice is not for sale to the highest bidders but is swift and also fair .

6. Massive building of world class craft schools in nearly every major and minor city...where anyone can be trained in a specific craft with the most modern tools availabe.

On graduation they are issued two things 1. A Federal business license that can be verified by any customer on a public database 2. Start up capital of 500k....( Try this in the north and see if it wont get all those almajiris off the streets.)

You are right
imagine if Government can help graduate with 500,000 each. Unemployment will be arrested.
For someone like me, I have been going up and down looking for where to raise fund and start up a business.
If Government can make it possible for me n other graduates to have fund, we wouldn't wait to be employed.

spot on. I keep telling people that if our leaders care about us, they would have implemented policies in the favour or the citizens. Another point you omitted was stable power supply. If you know how much some factories, hotels, banks as well ad other business ventures spend per month in running and maintaining generators, you'll be shocked.
With constant power supply, the initial cost spent in running generators can be ploughed back to the business, can serve as higher salaries, can be used to train staff etc. Our leaders know our problems, know the solution to our problems but have decided not to solve it because some folks make crazy amount of money from these problems.
Our banks would almost never grant someone loan, touts will come harassing a small business owner for some silly levies that do not exist or are never remitted.
Small businesses are really struggling especially in the area where thugs keeps harassing them for frivolous levies, especially those who own shops. Infact based on my own estimation, 80% of most small business are running at a loss due to the cost of production, while 15% are barely breaking even. Infact with the way the economy is those who are not investing are better off than those opening small businesses becaise the odds are absolutely stacked against you in a gory manner

Can Accra stand to compete with lagoshuh
Look,we do not judge a countries progress by just the number of tall buildings it has or constant electricity.
Everyone knows Ghana is a huge one city country unlike Nigeria.
And also i am very happy you are not in Nigeria with me because definitely you are a senseless, broke person.
How do i know?all the people that have made money outside Nigeria always want to invest home so as to have an early retirement.not everyone goes out there to come back and be telling people tales about the west.
They all go there to make the money you haven't smelt yet.
I personally left Europe somewhat 2013 and came back to the shithole.so get your facts right!
I guess you just closed from that pizzahut you work in right?i should let you rest, life has dealt with you too much already which is not a bad thing for a person that has some matter in his skull who knows he is only there for a while to raise cash, not some dumbfuck that feels people really care about how organised the west is.

A favourable climate for business is one in which we have the following:

1. Adequate security of lives and property...not one where soldiers, policemen and herdsmen and cultists are killing citizens indicriminately.

2. Stable banking system where the banks are healthy enough to loan to the real sector and so citizens can borrow to build their own houses or buy flats in a residential estate.

3. Removing import duties on equipment designed for manufacturing, cultivating crops, building houses and roads for a certain period...instead we have multiple taxes and all sorts of levies.

4. Have a solid tranport system..( Road, Rail, and Air and water)...for the safeand quick movement of goods...a good and wide road into a deserted area opens up that area for residential and commercial activity ...not the one that petrol tanker and containers will be falling on roads because they are too narrow to manouver.

5. Transperent judicial system where justice is not for sale to the highest bidders but is swift and also fair .

6. Massive building of world class craft schools in nearly every major and minor city...where anyone can be trained in a specific craft with the most modern tools availabe.

After graduating, they are issued two things

1. A Federal business license that can be verified by any customer on a public database.
2. Start up capital of 500k...

Try this in the north and see if it wont get all those almajiris off the streets.)

Try this in the east, if it will not unleash the genius of all those Igbo boys that can make something from nothing.

Try it in the West, if Nigeria will not become the Fashion capital of the world)

The effect of quality training and licencing is that quality of work and uniformity/standard will become the norm. Instead of the "anything goes" that is obtainable now.

Added.

7. Power Supply - one cannot but stress the importance of power supply to economic growth and a quality life. Power supply to any business is like blood and air to any human being. If you loose too much blood you die. If you dont have enough air to breathe, you die.

Sadly the powers that be (the petrol sellers and generator importers ) will contnue to enrich themselves while everyone else suffers while the government blame witches and wizards because they are the agents of darkness.
