The fact that you invested earlier and made profits before and during the boom does not give you the right to shut those who invested during the boom, hoping to profit but turned out otherwise..Loss is loss, no other way to say it..Those HODL now, will enjoy later though.
the fact that the prices are down now does not make them experts either. They have a right to be pained but not to start bad mouthing crypto. A lot of them think it is like mmm so they keep saying crypto has taken their money. Do you think those who invested in bitcoin 3years ago or more did it because of quick profit? They did it because they were investing in thetechnology which isthe blockchain tech. I have no pity for those who rushed into crypto thinking they had found another mmm that would be doubling their money. Let us say it as it is. If they dont understand it, they shuld sell their coins jare

oops.. And i was thinking that each and everyone that later tried it out is now a millionaire... sad

sorry ooo... but how manage.. ??

Were you among those that dropped their number to be added in the whatsapp group??

Am sorry if its too much questions... But am already thinking of multiple ways through which i can start that biz before seeing this your reply. So pls i would love to know the right and wrong steps you took for you to have lost such amount. Thanks.

The author didn't post a lot of risk that was attached such as having your bags stolen during the loading process

The single biggest risk is price fluctuations.
A bag could be selling for 5000 now and the next minute, it's going for 4000 and like that like that.

Regardless of the fact that I stayed in the market till every single bag was sold off, I still couldn't fathom out the reason for the quick changes in prices

However, one point I noted was prices always fall immediately a new van or trailer comes with goods as everybody would be scrambling to sell off before the new van/trailer is offloaded.

I heard it's the good session to trade it now, might be heading out in a week or two to try my luck again.

Phone business is very capital intensive and the margin is sometimes not much esp for older/Chinese phones but most sellers depend on ROI to break even, review your prices and engage in aggressive' marketing, you should be fine. All the best

Lots of comment on crypto.
Lemme chip this in.
Right now the crypto world is facing a whole lot of opposition, manipulations etc. The best you can do right now as a newbie in crypto is to learn and not invest till u are sure you understand it very well. 2017 was good for crypto but this 2018 not so good, any one that invested in btc early this year is in a very big loss no doubt, the market is fucking bearish. So many speculations that the market will recover, but no one can really tell when..
I've trained a lot of persons in cryptocurrency trading, and i discovered that most just focused on the profits only and when its not coming as they want they get discouraged, they just stopped learning once they know how to buy and sell probably because i tell them which coin to invest in,but the real deal is knowing what to buy and when to sell, using either fundamental analysis or technical analysis, sometimes both..
The market right now is not to cool though one can make money from day-trading if u know how u scalp sha, its stressful and time consuming..

My advice is Learn before you invest, dont invest what u cant afford to lose.

Let me add my losses too.

Lost 3000$ to a guy who I gave money to run a promotion for me.

lost a huge amount of money to pepper farming this year... the soil is diseased. pepper were spoiling before harvest.

lost 1200$ when I lost my phone that has my blockchain app which I open only with fingerprint.

Getting back on my feet with crypto trading. I have a whatsapp group where traders discuss and network. the bear market gave me much.

I read everything too as I always look out for the bad deals to avoid. Well, the first step is to have a laptop and an internet enabled phone. If you have those 2 down, you should be then start looking at the startup capital which should be anywhere around 50 to 150k. Not much when compared to the tradition brick and motar biz models.

Get these down and then we can talk more. today alone I got like 11 orders of a 21k product. And I'm still a learner in my niche

So I decided to bankroll him, get him a shop, buy a generator and three embroider machine, with one sowing machine. That way he'd sponsor his education in the University and add to the family net worth. Long story short: he dropped out of school, doesn't save a dime. He abandoned The purpose of starting the business while he makes cool cash and spend it on himself alone.

I threw over 900k in that investment. I actually went broke after the incidence.it hurt because I was doing it for the family.

Sharmeenator:
This is a recent bad business experience I want to share. I believe one or two people will learn from it. It's a long story but I will try to make it short without losing too much details.

I decided to start a side hustle in 2016; a cyber cafe, business center and payment solutions provider (e.g. IKEDC, DSTV/GoTV etc.). I got a big shop at a nice location, renovated it to look nice and comfortable. The shop was setup beautifully. Customers were given laptops to browse instead of the old PC everyone uses.
We were getting positive feedbacks daily and motivations to grow bigger. To cut the long story short, everything was going on well and we were progressing and profiting there until the third month.

My boy called me one morning that he met the door opened with no sign of forced entry. We later leant that my staff was careless with the key, someone must have smartly made a copy from the bunch he carelessly left on the counter. We changed the lock and upgraded the security. 5 laptops, router and money were stolen.

Less than a month later, another burglary attempt was made. This time very forceful; the window was cut opened late in the night and the burglary removed. The most unfortunate part was that no one confessed to hear a sound from the removal (which I'm sure couldn't have been done silently) in the dead of the night. The landlord, a pastor in the church that separates the shop from the resident building wasn't so bothered as no one in the house and his family was targeted. More laptops and money were carted away.

I pleaded with the landlord to allow me to get an "aboki" to stay there at night so he could watch over the shop as the security guards we pay to secure the area are as useless as used diapers. He refused citing religious differences. I was forced to involve the police this time despite hating the idea in involving our men in black. I paid 10k and nothing was done. Detective assigned asked me to investigate personally and call him when I 'catch' thieves grin I didn't care, we did some diggings and suspected 3 guys; popo man was called and he said he has closed for the day. The following day when we called him again, he lied he was coming and later cancelled the appointment citing official duty despite having tactically delayed one of the suspects. I have sworn never to involve Nigerian police in my affairs again angry

Almost a week later, a third attempt was made and it became clear we had to leave at least for the sake of our lives. We used less than 6 months there and all these unfortunate events happened within 2 months. We left hastily for another shop not far so we could continue where we left. This decision marked the worst I have ever taken. The new shop, although smaller showed signs of success, so I thought. We renovated it and moved in almost immediately hoping that business would be better there especially with the planned inclusion of Bet9ja and PS2 Gaming. Bet9ja bursted my bubble by not approving the shop, mistake number (I can't tell again). I tried Winners Golden Bet, they answered my prayer but cut it short later when they retrieved their license citing a mistake from them as there was another WGB center not too far off which they didn't noticed earlier. Maybe I would have been given notwithstanding if I had a good connection. I had to settle for Surebet247 which checkmated me to defeat.

Business was over dull in the new environment (no pun intended). Light was over bad (they only have light during our closing hours). We buy fuel of almost 2k everyday despite not making up to 2k (it's that bad) daily. I was practically financing that place with personal money; paid my two staffs from my pocket every month. We did only four months there as that was how far I could personally sustained the business. I sadly laid off my staffs, locked the shop till when my rent expires which was in February this year. I sold off most of the items I didn't give away at ridiculous prices as there was no place to keep them. When I sat down to count my losses, I calculated a loss of 1.6 million (which is surely more than that). I haven't recovered from the unfortunate incidents having spent all my savings. I'm married now with a child this year but I have fallen flat into the same rat-race I was avoiding by attempting to open another stream of income. I will rise, I will fully recover and charge forward.

loving the willful spirit already.

i guess the constant rapid fluctuation of price can be attributed to the perishable nature of the good.

On the other hand, what about the dilaali's ?
Did you register with their union?
If yes what was their payment plan i.e commission ?
And if no, how did you circumvent them ?

a lot of you claiming to be crypto experts dont know jack about crypto. So it crashed... what is the big deal. Can you tell us why it is crashing? Do you know why there was a boom last year? Was last year the only boom bitcoin experienced? Is this the only time bitcoin is crashing? Please if you dont know any of these then pls stop talking about crypto as if you know anything about it. Just because some people made some money from crypto last year all of a sudden they are all talking about bitcoin and co as if they understand anything about it.

I read all the comments on crypto here and i was just shaking my head all through. How can anyone say he has lost his money to crypto. Did the coins get stolen or what exactly? You bought a coin that rose from about $700 to $19000 in a year and only dropped to $4800 in another 10months and you all screaming crypto is a bad investment.
So you were honestly expecting bitcoin to be $100,000 now or what exactly were you guys expecting? How?

Crypto is a good investment if not the best investment. It is not for those who are expecting it to multiply their margins within a few months. Please sell your coins to those who know the value and let us hear word

Bros talk true. Almost 80% of people are complaining of Crypto currency. And you are still insisting that is a good investment. You Just reminded me of MMM era.

Don't want to be stingy so let me share mine. It actually happened about 2weeks ago.

I've been into data reselling for quite a while now. I started in my part3 days in the University. That's about 2yrs ago. I usually buy airtime from individuals most especially students whose parent sent airtime from home and they wish to convert to cash. I buy all networks but mainly mtn. I also buy share and sale airtime from individuals.
.
3-weeks ago, I bought share and sale mtn airtime from one of my online friend. airtime of 60k on a single SIM whereas I had about 42k on that particular SIM making a total of 102k..
.
later that evening, I noticed that I didn't receive any call for like an hr which is unusual cos I receive calls virtually every minutes. I tried to make a call and I got a voice response which said my line has been barred.
.
Sad by the response, I used my other line to call the customer care and I was told my SIM was under investigation for some fraudulent activities carried out with it. yeh!
.
The following day, I went to mtn office closer to my house and I was told that their unit couldn't resolve the case that I need to go to their office in Ibadan. chai! Imagine the distance from OAU Ife to Ring road Ibadan.
.
I got to mtn office in Ring road Ibadan approximately 2hrs later.joined a queue And I was later attended to. I didn't even spend up to 30mint there cos I was told the same thing the online customer rep told me except that my line would come back in the next 48hrs. I was was infuriated more not because of the airtime this time but the stress of traveling all the way from Ife to Ibadan only to be told my line would come back in 48hrs time.
.
To cut the long story short, my line came back two days after as they stated. but my over 102k airtime varnished .sorry all didn't vanish. they left for me 0.40naira.lol.
.
I used the next one week to disturb the life of the customer care. I shouted, yell, cursed but to no avail.
I've put all behind and moved on. I've learnt my lesson not to put my eggs in one basket. I'd never.Just that my village people got a large part of me that day. That's How I lost more than 100k.
damn this is sad
